Today, we join the world in honoring the strength and resilience of refugees everywhere. At Refugees For Prosperity (RFP), we reaffirm our commitment to stand in solidarity with refugees — not just in words, but through action.

This year’s theme reminds us that access to health care is a human right — not a privilege. Refugees, like everyone else, deserve safe environments, mental well-being, maternal care, and medical support to live full and dignified lives.

“No one is healthy until everyone is healthy — and that includes refugees.”

As a refugee-led organization, RFP continues to support the health and well-being of refugee youth and women by:

✅ Providing health-related information
✅ Advocating for inclusive services
✅ Connecting refugees to mental health and wellness resources
✅ Offering skills that improve livelihoods and overall well-being

Let’s work together to ensure health for all — without discrimination, without delay.

Localization is key to effective humanitarian response!

As a refugee-led organization, we've seen firsthand the impact of external aid on local communities. It's time to shift the power and support local actors in leading their own response.

Join us in calling for localization! Let's work together to create a more equitable and effective humanitarian system.

Every person deserves dignity and protection!

As an NGO led by refugees, we're advocating for asylum seekers to obtain refugee cards. This card is more than just a piece of paper - it's a key to unlocking safety, security, and opportunities.

With a refugee card, asylum seekers can:

Access essential services like healthcare and education
Live without fear of detention or deportation
Start rebuilding their lives with dignity

Let's stand together and demand that asylum seekers receive the protection they deserve!

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰: A Year of Transformation and Resilience

As we reflect on the year, we celebrate the incredible milestones we've achieved together. Through our programs in education, vocational training, and vital community support, Refugees For Prosperity (RFP) has positively impacted over 10,000 refugees and host community members in Uganda. This work has extended to touch the lives of over 30,000 people through its ripple effects, fostering resilience and opportunity.

None of this would have been possible without YOU—our valued partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters. Your unwavering belief in our mission and your collaboration have been the backbone of our achievements. We are deeply grateful for your trust and commitment. 🙏

A special thank you to our dedicated RFP team and volunteers, whose passion and determination continue to empower refugees to thrive socially and economically. Your work inspires us all. ❤️

From all of us at Refugees For Prosperity, we wish you a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year! 🎉🎄
We’ll resume work on January 6, 2025.

Today, as Human Rights Day dawns on December 10, we also mark the conclusion of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The theme for Human Rights Day 2024, “Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,” reminds us that advancing equality, justice, and dignity for all is essential to addressing global challenges.

Ending GBV is a human rights imperative. Over the past 16 days, we have united to amplify the call for a world free from violence and discrimination. But this mission does not end here.

Let’s take action today: Advocate for laws and policies that protect survivors and prevent GBV. Educate your community about gender equality and human rights. Support organizations working tirelessly to end GBV.

Together, we can turn advocacy into action and build a future where human rights and gender equality are more than just ideals—they are reality.
