: Yesterday, we held a meeting with Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) Country Coordinator Murat Çetin and a delegation from Türkiye - Sibel and Atilla - to explore areas of partnership with Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF).

MAAIF was represented by Sir Bob George Sunday, Senior Agriculture Officer and Focal Person for Agroecology & Organic Agriculture, together with John Matomi, Principal Agriculture Officer. ACSA Uganda was represented by Harriet Nakasi - National Coordinator, and Florence Nassuuna - Policy & Advocacy Officer.

📌 ACSA Uganda conducted a follow-up visit to Caritas Kasese to review work plans supported by Misereor and SNV, with a focus on identifying areas for collaboration. The meeting also explored potential social enterprise initiatives, with ideas shared and discussed to define possible actions and a way forward.

📌 A productive engagement was also held with the Kasese District Production Officer (DPO) to review the status of agricultural ordinances, ongoing initiatives and value chains, the district’s support to farmers, and opportunities for collaboration.

📌 This week, ACSA conducted follow-up visits to member organizations in the Western Region. On Monday (27th), the team engaged with Hoima Caritas Development Organisation(HOCADEO), with discussions centered on the 2026 work plan, potential areas of collaboration, and social enterprise opportunities to venture into.

On Tuesday (28th April), ACSA engaged Caritas Fort Portal, presenting the Misereor and Power for Food Partnership (P4FP) work plans, identifying areas of collaboration, and exploring social enterprise opportunities. This was followed by a joint engagement meeting with Prof. Moses Muhumuza of Mountains of the Moon University.

📌 : ACSA has joined other stakeholders for a 3-day event at the East Africa Women’s and Convergence in Nairobi, Kenya. Representatives from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and the DRC are in attendance.

The convergence focuses on experience sharing and exploring opportunities within national and global legal & policy frameworks that advance women’s land rights and tenure security, as well as identifying areas for joint action and regional movement-building.

: ACSA Uganda, together with its members, participated alongside other agricultural stakeholders in the Annual Community Agriculture Exhibition held on April 24 at the Faculty of Agriculture & Environment of Uganda Martyrs University - Nkozi.

Under the theme, Mainstreaming Agricultural Innovations for Enhanced Economic Livelihoods, the event attracted a diverse audience, including students, farmers, community members, and local leaders.
