On the 1st of August, Edward Bernard Odoi and Akello Amy were joined together in marriage.

"Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it... And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:15,18

The man ought to first work and find his purpose in life before he can find a helper.

“Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God.” (Genesis28 : 20 - 21 ) NKJV.

Through the Vow of Jacob, we are reminded that our faith is expressed through our commitment to God. Just as Jacob made a vow before the Lord, we as well have to remain faithful to the vow we make, holding firmly to our commitment, trusting God, regardless of the circumstances.
