It was a great time to have spent some time with you wonderful people!

Here is the father and mother of our volunteer, Tobias, who is in his fifth month of volunteering at YoChild-Africa as a teacher. His parents decided to pay him a visit to see how he is faring in the new location and culture.

The good news was that he was still safe, in good health, and still in good spirit of serving.

We thank God for their unique contribution towards the ministry!

Our pupils at YoChild-Africa nursery and primary school had a wonderful experience during community outreach. They were encouraged to share their resources and buy food hampers for those in need.

We divided them into ten groups, each heading to a different part of the community to minister. They shared their faith, prayed for the sick, and demonstrated kindness by clearing bushes around people’s homes. They even cleaned houses and met their needs to the best of their ability. Despite being their first time, the results were beautiful; the people they visited felt truly cared for and loved.

We thank God for the parents who supported their children in practising their faith and showing kindness. We also thank the teachers and administrators for their guidance and inspiration.

Thank you for demonstrating the heart of service and for community transformation.

Last week was our visitation day where we welcomed the parents of our children to discuss their academic progress and have conversations with their teachers about their learning.

We were delighted with their attendance and the noticeable increase in their interest in their children’s studies compared to previous visits.

As a school, we remain optimistic about our children’s academic progress and the community’s overall development.

Today we have decided to join high school in style 😅

We are extremely pleased to announce that Grace and Sarah have successfully joined high school!
Their exceptional performance on their primary leaving exams has made this possible. They both achieved first division and we’re incredibly proud of their dedication to their studies.

Now that they’re in high school, we’re even more confident they’ll pursue their dreams with the same diligence.

It’s a great start to the year. God has already done wonderful things for us and one of those things is adding brother Tobias to our team. We think of ourselves as happy, dear sponsors, friends, and partners of YoChild-Africa, firstly because we have had a great year of togetherness and secondly because of the commitment you have shown to us throughout the years and which you continue to this day!

Your support has enabled us to address the challenges of quality education in the community we minister to and close the gap between who we are today in terms of education excellence and who we wish to become through fulfilling our vision.

It’s from this point of view that we wish to say thank you for being the kind of persons you are, with big hearts and a loving spirit towards people beyond your borders.
When you ask who our heroes are, we don’t have to look further! Because you have taken part in our mission through your prayers and support towards the work we do and that automatically makes you our heroes!
