Stakeholder engagement facilitates collaboration, creating new ideas, leading to product and process improvements.
Additionally, it is the backbone of any successful national event, bringing together various perspectives to identify gaps and provide practical solutions that elevate overall performance.
To ensure that the national agricultural shows remain efficient, inclusive, and impactful, the Uganda National Farmers Federation (UNFFE), in collaboration with our partners Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA), convened an evaluation workshop for the recently concluded 31st National Agricultural Show (NAS) and the 4th National Agricultural Education Show, (NAES).
The workshop aimed to review the shows’ performance and generate actionable recommendations to strengthen their effectiveness and reach but also conceptualise how the NAS and NAES will be.
“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to each one of you for taking the time to join us today, and more importantly, for the invaluable contributions you made towards the successful organization and implementation of this year’s Show,” Perez Kawumi, Deputy CEO, UNFFE.
The stakeholders engaged included the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), NARO, NAGRC&DB, exhibitors, school heads, and teachers etc whose contribution will facilitate improvements for future editions.
“The 31st National Agricultural Show was yet another landmark event that brought together farmers, agribusinesses, researchers, innovators, government institutions, and development partners all united by a common goal: to celebrate and promote agricultural excellence, innovation, and resilience.” He added.
