A Testimony That Inspires Us!
One of the greatest measures of a successful training session is not just what is presented, but the impact it has on the participants.

Following our E Coffee Morning Session on "Leveraging AI for Business Growth: Practical Applications for Entrepreneurs and Social Enterprises," we were encouraged to receive this wonderful testimony from one of the attendees.

"The session opened my eyes to the practical ways AI can be applied in my business. I had always thought AI was only for large companies, but I now understand that even small businesses can use it to improve efficiency, serve customers better, and make smarter decisions. I leave inspired and ready to start small and grow strategically."
This is exactly why Quality Management Services Ltd is passionate about making Artificial Intelligence practical, accessible, and results-driven for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and social enterprises.
We believe AI is no longer the future—it is a business tool that organizations can begin using today to increase productivity, reduce costs, improve customer experience, and unlock sustainable growth.
We sincerely thank everyone who attended, shared their experiences, and contributed to the engaging discussions. Your enthusiasm motivates us to continue empowering businesses with practical digital solutions.
What business challenge would you like AI to help you solve?

We'd love to hear your thoughts.

QMS Conversations: Men's Mental Health Month
This month, we're having honest conversations about men's mental health.
We sat down with Carl, our Head IT and Marketing and asked him a few questions about the realities many men face but rarely talk about.
Q: Growing up, what messages did you receive about expressing emotions as a young man?
Carl: I grew up believing that, as a man, you have to handle your issues yourself. You don't go around telling people your problems. You don't want to be seen as a cry baby. You learn to carry your burdens alone.
Q: Has that mindset helped or hindered you as an adult?
Carl: Both. The good side is that you become independent and learn to stand on your own. The downside is that sometimes you break, and when you do, you don't have anyone to talk to. That can lead to wrong decisions because you're carrying everything by yourself.
Q: What pressures do men face that people don't talk about enough?
Carl: Many men are carrying responsibilities that nobody sees. Financial pressure. Family pressure. Work pressure. You can come to work smiling, but inside you're trying to balance so many things.
Q: How can workplaces better support men?
Carl: Sometimes men don't want to speak in a group setting. But a simple one-on-one conversation can make a difference. Just asking someone how they're doing can help more than people realize.
Q: What's something you wish more people understood about men's mental health?
Carl: Men love to be listened to. Just like anyone else. Sometimes being heard can help someone find solutions they couldn't see before.
Q: What's one habit that has positively impacted your mental health?
Carl: Belief. I write down my goals and reminders of what I want to achieve. I read them every day. It keeps me focused and moving forward.
Q: What message would you share with someone who is struggling silently today?
Carl: Be patient and stay focused on your goals. Success doesn't come at the same time for everyone. There will be setbacks, but when you fall, get up again and keep going.
💙 This Men's Mental Health Month, let's remember that strength isn't just about carrying burdens. Sometimes strength is found in listening, supporting

HELLO JUNE

Half the year is almost gone.

Take a moment and think about that.

What is one thing you are proud of from the last five months?

Too often we focus on what we haven't achieved and forget how far we have come.

Celebrate the progress.
Learn from the setbacks.
Adjust where necessary.

Then move forward with renewed focus.

Welcome to June.

GYB TUESDAY

"I want to start a business."

We hear this often.

The next question is usually:

"What business do you want to start?"

And that's where many people get stuck.

Not because they lack ambition.
Not because they lack talent.

But because they have never been guided through the process of identifying business opportunities that match their strengths, interests, experience, and market demand.

A good business idea is rarely found by chance.

It is discovered through reflection, research, and asking the right questions.

That is exactly what the Generate Your Business Idea (GYB) programme helps participants do.

Before investing money, before registering a business, before printing business cards, take time to identify an idea that has both personal fit and market potential.

The right idea can save years of frustration.

Have you ever considered starting a business but struggled to decide what to do?

This week, do not underestimate the power of one small action.
One phone call.
One proposal.
One application.
One difficult conversation.
One step towards a goal you have been postponing.
Many breakthroughs do not begin with a giant leap. They begin with a decision to start.
A week from now, you could be glad you started today.
Wishing you a productive and purposeful week ahead. 💡

VISION IN ACTION TUESDAY

When we started QMS in 2002, event management was still a relatively new concept in Uganda.

As we met potential clients, many would tell us:

"We plan our events ourselves."

Some entrepreneurs might have heard that and walked away discouraged.

We heard something different.

We heard opportunity.

If organizations were planning their own events, it meant they were investing valuable staff time and energy in tasks that could be handled by specialists. It meant there was a gap in the market waiting to be filled.

So we kept knocking on doors. We kept having conversations. We kept planting seeds.

The scripture in Ecclesiastes 11:4 says:

"Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap."

If we had waited for the perfect market, the perfect timing, or universal acceptance of our idea, we would never have started.

Every worthwhile journey involves risk.

The question is not whether challenges exist. They always will.

The question is whether your vision is strong enough to move forward anyway.

Sometimes the opportunity others overlook is the very thing that changes your future.

Did you know AI chatbots can help organize a marathon? 🏃‍♀️🤖
Well… now you do!

We’re excited to share that Quality Management Services (QMS) is partnering with Great Outdoors Uganda for the upcoming marathon on 7th June 2026 — and we’re bringing innovation to the starting line!

Here’s how AI is stepping in to elevate the experience:
✨ Custom chatbot designed specifically for the event
✨ Instant, automated responses to participant inquiries
✨ Smooth communication for both runners and organizing teams
✨ A more efficient, convenient, and enjoyable event for everyone involved

This is what the future of event management looks like — smart, seamless, and people-centered.

On a personal note, I Rachel Nankya Lubega am especially delighted to reconnect with Mr Mutesasira, an old schoolmate after many years. Life has a beautiful way of bringing people full circle. A gentle reminder: your old contacts are golden — nurture them, you never know when they’ll become part of your next big opportunity.

👉 Are you planning an event and want to integrate smart solutions like this? Let’s connect — we’d love to help you create something impactful and memorable.

Throwback to where it all began 💫

This photo takes us back to our very first upcountry event—a milestone that shaped who we are today.

In March 2004 (27–31), we had the incredible opportunity to support the Joint GOU/Donor Technical Review Workshop in Mbarara, hosted by Directorate of Water Development (DWD). We were young, eager, and determined to deliver excellence—long before we had the systems, structure, and experience we have today. What we did have was commitment, teamwork, and a strong belief that there is nothing that we could not do.
Looking at this moment now, it’s a reminder that every big journey starts with one bold step. That first upcountry event opened doors, built our confidence, and laid the foundation for the many successful upcountry events we’ve delivered over the years.

To everyone who trusted us at the beginning—Thank you.
And to every young business starting out: your “small beginning” matters more than you think.
