Kenneth Rogers Waddanga is an orphan a designing artist (a painter and decorator) who went once to paint a school for money but since the principle had no money to pay him, he decided to exchange his services for charity and Nakanyike Pretty from a less privileged family was in school and later joined by others with different professions to help the orphans, Kabbulu charity organization was found.
It was established to focus on holistic needs of the young 3-22 and the best of their future in Uganda. Our main aim was to make sure we grant most of the needy a right to education through our talents like art and giving other services to the schools that offer to negotiate terms and work with us.
Transforming lives through creating education opportunities for the orphans and the vulnerable children and a vocation training and income generating activities.
VISION: An educated and Empowered generation.
MISSION: looking out to the orphans and the vulnerable children creating educational opportunities, creating a vocational training and bringing up income generating activities like teaching them mechanics, tailoring, hair dressing, fashion and designs to the community all through art since we are artists for charity as well as focusing on their dreams like doctors, engineers etc.
GOALS: Change the world through helping the exceptional young people.
Empowering and preparing tomorrow’s leaders.
Creating a financial platform to pay the costs associated with the life of necessities plus developmental skills in the challenging day life.
Acting as a valuable resource of mentor ship to help the young, orphans, vulnerable and less privileged persons like the women through empowering them with developmental skills.
PROGRAMS:
Education, Health, livelihood, Talent development and developmental skills.
Education:
a) Early childhood development centers.
b) Create suitable learning environments for children with disabilities
c) Sponsorship Children with school challenges and disabilities.
d) Children identified to be gifted or with special abilities.
e) Set up vocational training centers for youth looking to have a second chance at life.
Kabbulu charity organization is managing a number of over 100 children in school through art, we are providing a number of guardians’ developmental skills which we believe will reach us to our goals.
Our source of income.
As artists we are blessed with a talent of ART where we do various art works like walls painting and decoration (it’s in this manner that we have managed to take this number of children in different schools)with bead woks, crafts, clay and cement crafts work (it’s still in this manner that we manage to buy a few school requirements for them).
Why we need grants
We need grants to improve on the standards of their education (the category of children that we are dealing with) and we believe with any donations or grants will be accounted for carefully in order to meet both our goals and the standards.
Health:
a) Water and sanitation.
b) Hygiene.
c) Malaria and preventable disease control.
d) HIV awareness, testing and counseling.
e) Immunization.
f) Antenatal and postnatal.
Livelihood:
We shall engage and teach children urban farming sine most of the youth don’t have land to do commercial agriculture, this will help them develop skills they’ll use on any piece of land they’ll acquire in future
Talent development:
a) Intend to create platform for children and youth to show case their talents.
b) Collaborate with schools and parents to identify and nature children’s talents.
c) We intend to acquire facilities needed to nature talents like studios, playgrounds institutes and laboratories.
d) Looking forward to sponsoring innovations.
e) We shall also engage children, youth and elders in art and crafts, making use of environmental materials.
Developmental skills:
This will involve all categories, the orphans, vulnerable, less privileged guardians that have lost hope and those willing to have a change in life empowering them become job creators and not job seekers.
We as well intend to give startup capital of projects for pigs, goats and chicken to guardians of orphans, vulnerable, children with disabilities and the less privileged families focusing on their financial status.
