Raising Teenagers-Uganda RTU is a platform that provides space for the Teenagers' engagement on a wide range of issues that impact their lives and promotes Guidance into adulthood.

Our platform aims at creating a safe space for engagement of adolescents to discuss and debate issues affecting them. We empower them with skills and knowledge on assertiveness, communication skills as well as sexual and reproductive health education. Offering them Career guidance and managing their dreams and aspirations is our Mandate.

Today, we concluded a 3day Girl-Centered Advanced Certification (GFI) Training hosted by Girl Rising and She's the First.

The three days were filled with learning, sharing, reflection and meaningful conversations on how we can better support girls in our communities.

We reflected on the work we are already doing and learned new ways to ensure girls’ voices, experiences and needs remain at the centre of our work. We explored the “What Would You Do?” game, a tool we use when engaging girls and discussed how to make it more engaging and impactful.

The Girl Hour was another highlight, where young girls shared their stories, experiences and mentorship journeys, reminding us that girls are the experts in their own lives.

We also learned how film and storytelling can be powerful tools for advocacy.

We are grateful to our amazing facilitators and partners for making this experience meaningful.

We leave inspired and committed to ensuring every girl is respected, educated and heard.

We are currently attending the Girl Centered Advanced Certification training hosted by Girl Rising and She's the First at Fairway Hotel.

This training brings together advocates and practitioners who are committed to advancing girl-centered approaches and creating environments where girls can learn, lead, thrive and reach their full potential.

We are deepening our knowledge, sharing experiences, learning practical approaches and exploring how we can strengthen our work with girls and young women ensuring that their voices, experiences, needs and aspirations remain at the heart of the solutions we champion.

It is an opportunity to learn, connect, reflect and build stronger approaches to supporting girls to become confident leaders and change makers in their communities.

We look forward to taking these lessons beyond the training room and translating them into meaningful action.

We celebrate and cheer on our partners in Tanzania led by The Brighter Binti Foundation for this year’s hike. Their commitment to using the power of movement, advocacy and community action to champion girls’ rights is truly inspiring.

Every step taken during this hike represents a bold statement that girls deserve dignity, access to menstrual health support and the freedom to pursue their education and dreams without barriers.

From Uganda to Tanzania and beyond, we continue to build a movement that reminds the world that ending menstrual stigma requires collective action.
When we walk together, we amplify the voices of girls, challenge harmful norms and create safer spaces where every girl can thrive.
