📚✨ Mentorship Matters — Preparing Teachers in Karamoja to Guide Learners with Confidence! ✨📚

Strengthening teachers’ capacity is a key step in ensuring that learners receive age‑appropriate ASRHR conversations in schools. Through this programme, teachers are mentored and supported to create safe, informed and empowering learning environments for every child.

With guidance from dedicated mentors, teachers are gaining practical skills to:
🌱 Facilitate meaningful ASRHR discussions
🌱 Support learners with accurate information
🌱 Promote safer, healthier school communities

This work is proudly supported by Save the Children under ‑TransformingTheFuture – For And With Children (NORAD) — building a future where every child learns, grows and thrives.

🌟 Youth Leaders Lighting the Path of Community Transformation! 🌟

Across Karenga, Butebo, Kibuku and Kaabong districts, the SAY Plus programme is empowering non‑political youth leaders to step forward as champions of advocacy, accountability and positive change.

These young leaders are a vital force in strengthening communities — raising voices on SRHR, promoting GBV prevention, and inspiring their peers to build safer, healthier spaces for everyone. Their energy, creativity and commitment show that real transformation begins with empowered youth at the centre.

With heartfelt appreciation to our partners for making this training possible:

Together, we are nurturing a generation ready to lead with purpose and transform their communities with courage. 💛✨

Strengthening community awareness on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) starts with meeting young people where they are.

A Village Health Team (VHT) member from Nadunget HC III, Mororo, together with staff from STF, engage young people during a peer outreach session in Losiye Village, Nangorit Parish, Nadunget Sub-county. Through open dialogue, accurate information, and strengthened referral linkages, young people are encouraged to access quality, youth-friendly health services and make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

Together, we are building healthier, more informed, and empowered communities—transforming the future for and with children.

🌍✨ Youth at the Heart of Adolescent Empowerment! ✨🌍

Under the SAY Plus Project, young people are proving just how powerful their voices are in strengthening adolescent rights and empowerment. With support from UNFPA Uganda, youth champions are stepping up as mentors, advocates, and role models—guiding adolescents to make informed choices, speak out, and claim their rights in Kaabong, Karenga, Kibuku and Butebo.

💡 When youth lead, adolescents gain confidence.
📣 When youth advocate, communities listen.
🌱 When youth are empowered, the entire generation grows stronger.

The SAY Plus initiative continues to show that meaningful change happens when young people are trusted, supported, and given space to lead. Together, we are building a future where every adolescent feels safe, informed, and empowered. 💪🏾🌸
