Yes, the struggle continues

On this day five years ago at our former headquarters in Kamwokya, we became the National Unity Platform and our leaders were unveiled to the public. As a young party, we were of course prone to challenges but the resilience of our people and the public trust made us stronger.

Today as we push forward with our struggle for liberation, there are several of our comrades whose blood has been shed by the regime, others disappeared never to be seen again, and several rotting in prisons as they grapple with trumped up charges.

Regardless, we are still advancing on with our cause and we are much alive to the fact that the real winners are not quitters. We are growing stronger and more focused on the liberation goal.

Forward we move

Exactly 5 years ago today, we unveiled the National Unity Platform (NUP) and its new leadership to the Country. We were at our small but cozy headquarters then at Kamwokya, not too sure of what the future held, but our hopes were high...and so we set off.
The 5 years have been rough and tumble, but they have also seen us do some exploits.

Some thought we would not last a year, others even dismissed us completely ab initio, but by God's grace we are here today, and we continue to press on.
I believe the best days of NUP are not behind us, but ahead of us.
Let us keep on keeping on!

Expression of Interest – Member of Parliament, Mawokota South (NUP)

Today, I picked my Expression of Interest forms from the National Unity Platform headquarters. Together with my team, we are ready to liberate Mawokota South from over 30 years of neglect.

As a medical doctor and revolutionary leader, I have served this struggle through healthcare services, youth and professional mobilization, and recently as Secretary for Professionals on the NUP National Executive Committee.

In Mawokota South, NUP is now the leading force—thanks to our fearless, committed activists.
I’ve led community initiatives including mass medical camps (2,000+ beneficiaries), land protection legal aid clinics, and MIREMBEJJO SACCO among others.
Youth and SIG elections are ongoing despite the extremely repressive tactics of the regime. My appreciation to the comrades leading this.

I’ve also served as Chairperson of Doctors in Buganda region branch and Secretary General of the Uganda Medical Association, always championing the rights of the oppressed—including political prisoners like Dr. Kizza Besigye and Eddie Mutwe among others.
We have advocated for the re-structuring of the healthcare sector and budget significant increase to afford lower facilities doctors, medicines and equipment to serve the vulnerable population.

The time is now. Let’s build a better, freer Mawokota South—together.
