The future of work depends not only on available opportunities but on how well young people position themselves to create, access, and sustain them. This vision drives the Youth to Business (Y2B) Culmination Event, organized by AIESEC in Uganda in partnership with Plascon under the theme “Youth as a Resource.”
The event brings together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and development practitioners who are shaping the ecosystems where young people learn, work, and build enterprises.
The keynote address will be delivered by Daniel Adrian Kayongo, Brand Manager at Plascon, sharing insights on brand strategy, market positioning, and how young professionals can strategically position themselves in competitive industries.
A panel discussion on “Making SDG 8 Real: Work, Business & Opportunities” will feature:
• Bruno Muhire, General Manager of TSG Energy, bringing experience in energy sector operations and entrepreneurship.
• Sabano Blessed Peace, HR Specialist, discussing recruitment trends and the competencies employers seek.
• Jonan Asingwire Kato, Founding Director of Island of Hope, sharing perspectives on social entrepreneurship and sustainable opportunities.
• Odongo Solomon, CEO of Diacente Group, contributing insights on enterprise leadership and investment thinking.
• Aurelie Duchateau Kizito, Country Manager at Aldelia, discussing global talent mobility and employability in the international labor market.
The event will also include a Skills Space led by Ronnie Lutaro, Project Manager at StartHub, focusing on practical tools such as business model development, personal branding, and identifying market opportunities.
Through this collaboration, Youth to Business reinforces a powerful message: young people are not just job seekers—they are a vital resource capable of driving innovation, economic growth, and sustainable development.
