Today marks three years since the passing of our beloved Prof. John Ntambirweki.
We remember a man who dedicated his life to education, justice, and the service of others. His influence shaped institutions, strengthened communities and opened doors for generations of students and leaders.
At the John Ntambirweki Foundation, we carry forward his belief that knowledge belongs to everyone and that leadership begins with giving. His standards remain ours and we honour his memory through action.
Through scholarships, lectures, and community programmes, we stay rooted in the values he lived by and the future he worked so hard to build:
•We published Prof’s memoir, The Towering Trailblazer, preserving his story and philosophy.
•We hold an annual memorial lecture that brings together community, his former students, colleagues and friends to reflect on the ideas he championed.
•We award a scholarship each year to the top fourth-year law student at Uganda Pentecostal University, the institution he founded in Fort Portal in 2001.
•We provide scholarships for parish chiefs under the Parish Development Model, backing the kind of grassroots leadership Prof. Ntambirweki always believed in.
•We organise an annual memorial run through the streets of Fort Portal and host an annual sports tournament that brings young people from across Western Uganda together.
He is deeply missed every single day. His legacy endures. May he continue to rest in peace.
