We're reminded daily what a huge undertaking it was to take 9 boys from the streets and commit to making a home for them. Recently, we've been talking about their future so today Mama Regina is teaching them to make soap. Hope Empowers Academy is their 1st client! They will learn about tracking expenses and income and even try their hands at sales!

A Heartfelt Thank You!

As we kick off the second term at Hope Empowers Academy, we are filled with joy seeing our kids back in their classrooms, eager to learn and grow! This week, we were blessed with a special visit from the wonderful students of Acorn International School.

What an incredible moment it was to watch children from different backgrounds come together, sharing smiles and experiences! A huge thank you to Teacher Grace for organizing this amazing opportunity. Your dedication to fostering a spirit of service in your students is truly inspiring.

We also want to extend our gratitude to the administration of Acorn International School for instilling the values of compassion and community service in your students. Teaching them that no matter their background, we can all make a difference in the lives of those in need is a lesson that resonates deeply.

Welcome back to Hope Empowers Academy, everyone!

After a refreshing three-week break, it’s truly a joyous moment to gather once more. As our children step onto the campus, we take this opportunity to hand them over to God for His protection and guidance. As it says in Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Let’s embrace this wisdom as we embark on a new term filled with learning and growth.

EBOLA OUTBREAK!

Update on the ongoing Ebola outbreak. Currently, there are two confirmed cases in Uganda. The government is actively addressing the situation, and we remain optimistic that all will be well.

We ask for your prayers for our dedicated staff and volunteers who are reaching out to those in need within the communities. Tomorrow, our feeding program in the slums will take place, and we would greatly appreciate your prayers for our team and for Uganda as a whole during this challenging time. Children got their school break and this mean a lot to our staff and volunteers! We try to engage them in many ways we can. We have 2 campuses where we minister to children one is in Nabukalu village and the other one is in Saala village.

Last week we had 3 days VBS camp for the children out there, was amazing watching these children learn and willing to know Jesus. Thanks for our donors who supported this camp.
