Hi everyone...its a JOHN update!
If you haven't heard, John is a 12 year old street boy from the slums whose ankle was run over by a taxi. He was left for dead for 2 days until the police called Hope Empowers Ministry for help. Many donors answered a call for help..you literally stood in the gap between life and death. After two surgeries, almost 2 months later and over $2300 in expenses...JOHN IS DOING WELL!

He left the hospital two weeks ago and is staying with our pastor at Hope Empowers Community Church and his wonderful family. Doctors visit twice weekly for bandage changes. Today's report was a good one! The infection seems cleared and the skin has covered the wound!

John has a long way to go, including physical therapy. The 2 weekly doctor visits are $50 each and PT will likewise be costly. Would you please continue to help with his costs? Our current goal is $700.

The boys at the Home look forward to receiving him into the family. His food, school and other ongoing costs will approximate $50/month. Please consider being a regular monthly donor!

We took a leap of faith when we said yes to saving John. But the truth is the only way we can continue his care is through donations. Please help John! 🙏

Hope Empowers Annual Garage Sale is Here!

Every item you buy helps change a child’s life.

Our annual garage sale is one of the ways we raise funds to provide education, medical care, and food for vulnerable children in Uganda. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated items. Your generosity is making this event possible. Even though you may be thousands of miles away from Uganda, your kindness is giving hope to children who need it most.

Can’t make it to the sale?

Leadership begins with opportunity.

The all of last week, our students have been joyfully campaigning across the Hope Empowers Academy campus, sharing their ideas and encouraging their fellow students to vote for them.

we believe every child deserves a voice. When children take part in school leadership, they learn responsibility, integrity, teamwork, confidence and it is nurtured today.

The leaders we empower today will become the men and women who transform their communities and shape the future of our nation.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

At Hope Empowers Academy, we are not only educating children—we are raising future leaders.
