Community Driven Network Uganda

Mission

To work with local civil society organisations and other development players to coordinate and strengthen the capacity of NGOs/CBOs to advocate, lobby, and influence equitable resource allocation and utilization, campaign for improved service delivery in rural communities.

Objectives

· To promote good image, credibility and professional practices between CSO’s.

· To advocate for equitable and fair distribution of resources.

· To improve access to information for CSO’s and other stakeholders through establishment of a CSO’s data bank and a resource centre.

· To create awareness and understanding on government policies and matters concerning the general society.

· To lobby and advocate for proper policies and provisions in the country.

· To promote/stimulate establishment of thematic networks to articulate issues relevant to particular sectors.

· To co-ordinate and promote partnership among CSO’s in the country.

· To promote collaboration and partnership with government, private sector and other development actors.

Lango Sub Region: Lira, Oyam, Dokolo,

West Nile: Arua, Yumbe and Moyo, and Obongi,

Acholi Sub Region: Gulu, Amuru, Omoro and Nwoya
