Alliance of Women to Advocate for Change (AWAC), is an Alliance found by s*x worker CSO champions to support the rights of s*x workers to strengthen a vibrant national and sustainable s*x workers' movement in Uganda. The alliance exists to promote the role of s*x worker-led groups and organizations especially upcountry based in driving the response to programs that support s*x workers' efforts to

overcome stigma and discrimination and other human rights violations fueled by criminalization and cultural norms attached to s*x work. The alliance aims at creating an enabling environment for improved access to quality health and HIV services through consultations, research and policy analysis/assessment to address the gaps in the legal and policy frameworks. AWAC is also committed to amplify the voices of grass root s*xworkers at national, regional and international level who advocate for improved access to health, human rights and raise awareness on welfare needs of s*xworkers in Uganda. AWAC believes s*x workers should be at the centre of the development of programs and policies which directly impact upon their lives in Uganda.
