On Wednesday 20th July 2022, under the Pan African Child Foundation we held a meeting to discuss on matters of how we could impact and bring the change we want in Africa, amongst the issues discussed that day ,there rose was the issue and saga in the Karamoja Region; at a moment the region is characterized by a acute insecurity, Citizens dying of hunger, Accute malnutrition, as youths we sought to translate the pan African thoughts in to action for the betterment of the lives strictly for the African children.

To summarise, we came up with an idea of a fundraising campaign which we called the with a Theme: STUDENTS TOGETHER TO SAVE THE STARVING PEOPLE OF KARAMOJA, We thought that if every student could contribute 1,000 UGX it would be of great importance, However we didnt limit the contributions to cash but we also advocated for material like clothes, shoes , sugar etc of which students contributed.

We further extended our Campaign to further Universities, unfortunately majority of them were in for there holidays.

Our Campaign ran for only 35 days and we managed to collect the following;
•1000 KGs
•Shoes
•Clothes
•Sugar
•Soap

Due to the increased deaths, we decided as teams to first of all do our outreach as soon as possible , on Friday 26th August 2022 we started our journey from Namayiba Bus park to Karamoja region, we reached on Saturday 27th morning in Moroto District ,Lorengdwat Subcounty where we had decided to deliver our donations to.

We reached out to three parishes;
•Ntirasae
•Nathiyonoit
•Lokwakwa

We reached out to more than two hundred families in all of the three parishes.

We thank the students of their generous contributions towards this call , we thank everyone who contributed anything towards rescuing lives of our people in this region, we promised that this has now become our culture , it must be us for Our selves, For the Greatest Good of Africa, Africa is for Africans

Today our teams from Universities of learning; Kyambogo and Makerere met and discussed on the way forward towards making Karamoja region a better place, it should be noted that our teams will be setting off on 26th August 2022 to Karamoja region for their first outreach.
