In Miami, initiator Shari Arison - שרי אריסון participated in a series of Good Deeds Day events held in collaboration with the Jewish Federation, where hundreds of people took part in packing adaptive tools for people living with disabilities, preparing and distributing meals for the elderly and providing care packages and clothing donations. Reflecting on the global impact, Arison said, “Seeing it globally has really touched my heart, and the fact that we have so many partners around the world that have connected and have taken it upon themselves – as if it’s their own is so amazing. Millions more are joining in around the world, and hopefully it will continue to grow more and more.

Together, we’ve shown that knows no boundaries - here’s to carrying this spirit forward and making an even greater impact throughout the year ahead ✨✨

Today, we are proud to celebrate one of our members
after receiving a mega donation of sewing machines and fabric from MTN Uganda Foundation:
These sewing machines will directly support the production of reusable sanitary pads for girls in the Karamoja sub-region, a community where period poverty continues to keep girls out of school every month.
This is more than a donation. This is:
1. Advancing Education, No girl should miss class because of her period.
2. Promoting Menstrual Health & Dignity Access to safe, reusable pads restores confidence and health.
3. Building Life Skills & Leadership, Girls will be trained to produce pads, creating income and independence.
4. Advocating for Girls’ Rights, Every stitch is a statement that girls deserve to learn, lead, and thrive.

At Wezesha Girls Network, our work is to amplify and connect grassroots and girl-serving organizations across Uganda. When one member wins, we all win. Kara Girl Initiative embodies our shared vision: Unlocking the potential of girls to transform communities.

To MTN Uganda Foundation , thank you for investing where it counts. Your commitment to “Together for Girls. Together for Change” is not just a tagline. Today, it became sewing machines, fabric, skills and restored dignity.

To the team at Kara Girls Initiative , congratulations, Your relentless work to Unlock Her Potential, is seen, celebrated and supported. The girls of Karamoja will feel this impact for generations.
