Empowering Women, Empowering Lives. Women's Vitality Foundation is working tirelessly to bridge the gap of period poverty among women and girls with special needs in the marginalized communities of Uganda by teaching them how to make reusable sanitary pads.
These pads are not only eco-friendly but also cost-effective, allowing women to manage their menstruation with dignity.
Let's join hands to support this initiative and create a brighter future for women and girls with disabilities

In many underserved communities in Uganda, period poverty remains a critical yet often overlooked issue, affecting the health, dignity, and opportunities of countless women and girls most especially those with disabilities in the grassroot communities. Without access to affordable and reliable menstrual products, many are forced to miss school, stay home from work, or resort to unsafe alternatives that put their health at risk. The impact goes far beyond hygiene it touches on education, economic empowerment, and basic human rights. Today, WVF is proud to take a stand against period poverty by donating sanitary pads to women and girls in the community. This initiative is not just about providing essential supplies; it’s about restoring dignity, breaking harmful taboos, and ensuring that menstruation never becomes a barrier to a girl’s future. Together, we’re advocating for a world where every girl can manage her period safely and confidently because no one should be held back by something natural.

WVF walked hand in hand with the vibrant, resilient girls of Maracha amplifying their voices and sharing a powerful message: menstruation should never be a barrier to education, dignity, or dreams. Through campaign, we're not just distributing menstrual products we're igniting a movement rooted in empathy, equity, and empowerment.
From heartfelt conversations to shared stories of strength, each moment reminded us that change begins with awareness and thrives on community support. Access to sanitary pads isn't a luxury it’s a right and by standing together, we’re helping dismantle the stigma that still surrounds menstruation. Together, we’re building a future where every girl can walk tall, feel confident, and thrive without fear or shame. Let’s keep the conversation going, support the cause and ensure that no girl is left behind.

Meet our Change maker Championing Dignity & Empowerment
She’s not just advocating she’s transforming lives. With unshakable passion and purpose, our incredible changemaker is working on the frontlines to ensure that girls and women with physical disabilities are not left behind when it comes to menstrual hygiene and sexual & reproductive health rights (SRHR) because she knows exactly what these women go through. From community outreach to school engagements, she’s breaking the silence, tearing down stigma, and delivering vital resources where they’re needed most. Her mission is to make menstrual equity and SRHR information accessible, inclusive, and empowering for all.
“Disability doesn’t limit dignity. Every girl deserves to menstruate with pride and access knowledge that protects her health and future.” Join us in celebrating her work and in amplifying her voice. Because real change starts with people who dare to care.
