Today, the children of Vumbula Youth Home send their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us. Your kindness gives hope, food, education, and a brighter future to many young lives.

We are now launching a Fish Farm Project to help create a sustainable source of food and income for the 55 children under our care. Instead of depending entirely on donations, this project will help us provide nutritious meals and generate support for school fees, medical care, and daily needs.

Yesterday, a young girl came to our home by herself and quietly sat outside. I walked over and asked her, “Who are you looking for? Do you know me or anyone here?”

She looked at me and replied, “Yes, I know you. You are Uncle Vumbula.”

I said, “Okay, my daughter. How can I help you?”

With sadness in her eyes, she answered, “Uncle, please help me go back to school. I lost my parents and now I live with my grandmother.”

Her words touched my heart deeply.

To be honest, I am afraid of adding another child under our care because we are already struggling to provide food, school fees, medical care, and other basic needs for the children at Vumbula Youth Home. Every day is a step of faith as we depend on the kindness of donors and friends.

But when I listened to her story and looked at her sitting there, I could see the pain, hope, and determination in her eyes. She wasn’t asking for luxury or comfort—she was simply asking for a chance to continue her education and build a better future.

Sometimes life places people in front of us whose stories we cannot ignore. This young girl came asking to join Vumbula, and while I do not know what tomorrow holds, I know that God knows her story better than any of us.

Please keep her in your prayers. May God make a way for her and for every child who dreams of going to school but lacks the opportunity.

Back to School Urgent Appeal 📚

Tomorrow, our children return to school, but we are still facing a large school fees balance. As we prepare 55 children for a new school term, we still need to raise $5,400 to ensure they can stay in class and continue their education.

Hello dear friends

I hope you are doing well. I want to share something from my heart. Caring for the children is a blessing, and I am grateful to be able to serve them. However, sometimes the responsibility becomes very difficult and stressful on my side. I do my best every day to provide for their needs, but the pressure can be overwhelming.

I do not want to bring stress to you, but I wanted you to understand the reality we face. To feed and care for the children properly, we need enough $ every week. Having this support consistently would help ensure that the children are cared for and would give me peace of mind and relief from the constant worry about food and daily necessities.

Thank you for always caring about the children and for the support and encouragement you have given us. We are deeply grateful for everything you do.
