Day 7 | 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence
Violence doesn't exist in isolation—it thrives where rights are denied. For LBQ women and gender-diverse people, the fight against GBV is inseparable from the fight for comprehensive sexual and reproductive health and rights.
When we're denied access to healthcare, contraception, safe abortion services, and HIV prevention and care—that's structural violence. When our consent isn't respected or our identities are erased in health spaces—that's violence. When we can't access the information and support we need to make decisions about our own bodies—that's violence.
Ending GBV means:
✊ Ensuring LBQ-affirming healthcare for ALL
✊ Protecting bodily autonomy and reproductive justice
✊ Dismantling systems that deny us agency over our lives
✊ Building communities where our health, safety, and liberation are connected
Our struggles are connected. Our liberation is connected. Our resistance is connected.

For too long, conversations about reproductive rights have overlooked the needs and experiences of le***an, bisexual, and q***r women. But we've always been here, fighting at the forefront of the movement for bodily autonomy.
