Maranatha Family women VSLA section during their account reconciliation. The women were empowered to start small and many continue to testify of their inability to value themselves, due over reliance on external support, undermining shoddy jobs, poor attitudes towards men view of an income earning woman and more so illiteracy.

With joint efforts, fears of all kinds were broken and starting in second quarter of the year, the group of 25 women earning through digging community gardens, housekeeping, market vending, small retail shopping and hawking items of various types were able to shave US$. 1,954 and raising interest from internal lending US$. 287, which they were able to share to motivate those who supported in leadership, borrowing and saving. They closed the saving year on Sunday with thanksgiving to God.

They look at empowering more care givers in the year 2024.

December is a month of evaluation. Giving what is due to our enablers and support group.
We thank our partners of the year; the many Catholic parishes, to mention Namugongo Basilica, Christ the King Kampala, St. Joseph Balikudembe Kisenyi, Uganda Martyrs chaplaincy Kyambogo university, St. Charles Lwanga Parish Kamira Luweero, St. Augustine chaplaincy Makerere university, St. Jude & MARY Nuguuru, The Comboni missionaries, both sisters and Father's. and our own Our Lady of Africa Mbuya.

CEVA Logistics Ltd, our partner in transportation. God be with you. It was great having you on board.

We thank the youth apostolate, catechist, good Samaritan and the sub parishes on whose support we greatly relied on to reach the beneficiaries.
All our activity and the height we reached is a result of you allowing us step up on your shoulders.

We won't forget our market venders with the major markets of Owino, Nakasero and Nakawa, who filled our basket whenever, we reached their stalls. Brethren, sharing with us amidst the hard economic situation, indeed confirm the love you have for humanity and God. Thank you for loving the vulnerable community.

Our prayer and gratitude is our pay for the good job well done. Let us take it all to 2025.

Each year on 1st October, people across the world mark United Nations International Day of Older People to raise awareness of opportunities and challenges faced by ageing populations, and to mobilize the wider community to address difficulties faced by older people. We all have a part to play in making our communities and neighborhoods better places to age, and in celebrating and enabling the contributions of older people.

Kindly join us in prayers for a successful celebration of our history starting 27th Sept through 13th October. Recall how they were PATIENT WITH US, NOW IT IS OUR TIME TO BE PATIENT WITH THEM. A hug is a great relief when errored, do not grumble but, 'Surely, you will do better the next time is the statement they gave us', use it.

They were once DJs and dancers of high status, footballers, drivers, and some owned cars they no longer can drive. They built those houses that were then the talk of the village, some were managers but can now hardly recall the name of the bank and the branch they once managed, they were medical experts of the district and beyond, now they confidently disagree paracetamol is a pain reliever. Where they are is where we all one day will be. So do just what you love done to and allow them safe landing to the next.
