Rearing ducks is a simple yet rewarding activity that brings many benefits, especially for vulnerable children. Caring for ducks teaches children responsibility, patience, kindness, and the value of hard work. Feeding them, ensuring they have clean water, and looking after their shelter gives children meaningful daily tasks that keep them active, engaged, and focused.
Duck farming also provides an opportunity for children to learn practical agricultural and life skills that can help them become more self-reliant in the future. As they watch the ducks grow and produce eggs, they gain confidence and understand the importance of caring for living creatures.
One of the greatest blessings of keeping ducks is the nutritious eggs they provide. Duck eggs are rich in high-quality protein, vitamins such as B12 and D, healthy fats, iron, and other essential minerals that support children's growth, brain development, strong bones, and healthy immune systems. For children who may not always have access to a balanced diet, duck eggs can be a valuable source of nourishment.
In addition, duck farming can help improve the sustainability of our children's home. Surplus eggs can be shared with the community or sold to generate income, helping to provide food, school supplies, and other basic necessities for the children.
Our dream is to establish a small duck project where the children can learn, grow, and enjoy the many blessings that come from caring for these wonderful birds. With God's provision and the support of kind-hearted friends, this project can bring hope, practical skills, better nutrition, and brighter futures for the children in our care.

Lord God, You have spoken in Your Word that **“Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened”** (Matthew 7:7). Today we come before You asking, seeking, and knocking with faith.

Father, we place our kitchen, our food supply, and our daily needs into Your hands. You promised that **“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not lack”** (Psalm 23:1). Let this promise be alive in our home. Let us never lack food, never lack provision, never lack Your blessing.

Lord, You know our mission and our desire to grow poultry so we can feed our children well, improve their diet, and generate income. Establish the work of our hands. Bless our plans, guide our steps, and open every door we need to walk through.

Fill our kitchen with good food from our own efforts. Let our land, our poultry, and our ideas be fruitful. Provide us with everything our minds desire according to Your will. By Your mercy, we shall achieve it.

Father God, we praise You for the gift of life and for keeping us alive to carry out Your purpose. Each day we encounter vulnerable children who have been left with nothing, abandoned by circumstances beyond their control.

Our mission is to ensure they receive relief, dignity, and love. And Lord, You reminded us that *welcoming a child is welcoming You Yourself.*

Friends, let us unite and open our hearts to these precious ones. In Jesus’ mighty name, let us stand together and lift them up.

Lord, thank You for the beautiful souls You’ve placed in my life. Thank You for the friends who have given me purpose, strength, and encouragement — friends who have helped shape me into someone who can bring joy to our vulnerables. Because of them, our vulnerables have stories to share, hope to hold, and a kitchen that can feed them. I am grateful for every smile, every moment, and every blessing. Thank You, Lord.

Dear friends,

Our ambition is to become one of the major farmers and poultry keepers in our community, contributing to the fight against hunger, poverty, and unemployment. However, we are working in a very challenging environment. When our hens fall sick, we still rely on local herbs for treatment, and as you can see from the situation in the picture, diseases easily spread and affect the entire flock and surrounding areas.

We kindly appeal to all our friends for support—especially guidance on effective drugs and treatments that can help us protect our chicks, chickens, and hens.
Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, and more productive farming community.

Today, I thank God for His endless love toward us—a love that inspires our mission as a community. Because He first loved us, we choose to love our vulnerable brothers and sisters. It is this divine love that keeps our kitchen open, keeps our hands working, and keeps hope alive in the hearts of those we serve.

I am deeply grateful for the duty God has given me: to make a difference. And I thank Him for the many friends who stand beside me, giving their time, strength, and compassion so that the vulnerable may smile again.

We are called not only to serve but also to share the message of Jesus. Scripture tells us, *“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations”* (Matthew 28:19). And Jesus teaches us, *“Love one another as I have loved you”* (John 15:12).

May our work continue to shine the light of Christ in our community.

I want to thank you again, my dear friends, for everything you have done to make sure our kitchen is now preparing meals from our own harvest. The children are so happy after receiving the matooke from Luwero, where you helped us rent land and cultivate. We are now enjoying beautiful harvests, and we thank the Lord for this blessing. Because of your support, our vulnerable families are finally experiencing a change in their meals and their lives. May God reward you abundantly.

We feel truly privileged that, even though land is scarce in our area, our geographical location is fertile and able to support food growing. Through the kindness of good Samaritans who rent out land for us to cultivate, we are able to grow food and reduce the burden of buying from the market every day.

Even when the garden is far, the Lord continues to provide transport and strength to reach our destination. These matooke are the fruits of our labour and a blessing meant to feed the hungry and vulnerable among us.

We thank each one of you for standing with us in this fight against hunger. Your support keeps hope alive.

Dear Brothers and Sisters
I want to share the goodness of keeping ducks. Ducks reproduce fast, and one small flock can turn into a big farm within a short period. This project is a blessing—bringing income, food, and hope to our vulnerable families. It also gives our children meaningful work and valuable skills in poultry keeping. We pray that the Lord provides the resources we need to build good shelters and expand this project so it can continue transforming lives.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Jesus said in the Gospel of John that when we believe in Him, we also believe in the Father who sent Him. He also promised that *those who believe will do even greater works* in His name. This is the foundation of our mission.

Today we see vulnerable children left alone as their mother searches for food. We see families in need of hope. And we remember that Jesus calls us to be His hands and feet — to love, to serve, and to lift up the least among us.

Let us stand together in this calling. Let us continue to spread the Good News and fulfill the work Jesus left for us to carry on.
