🌍 From local farms in Uganda → to global sustainability conversations

A perspective we’re excited to highlight is TYoFU, where youth-led agricultural initiatives are creating real, on-the-ground impact:

✔️ Strengthening livelihoods
✔️ Building climate resilience
✔️ Reimagining food systems

Because transforming food systems isn’t just about innovation — it’s about inclusion.

We’re excited to welcome Alessandra Stankewich (Allie) as a speaker.

As a Grant Writing Volunteer at TYoFU, Allie works closely with youth farmers in Uganda, bringing a powerful grassroots perspective to global sustainability discussions.

🌱 Sustainable agriculture
⚖️ Food & environmental justice
🌍 Community-led development

Her work connects local action with global impact — a perspective we don’t hear enough.

🌍 What does it take to build a food system that is both sustainable — and just?

We often talk about food systems in terms of productivity or efficiency.
But today, the real challenge is deeper:
➡️ Can we produce food without accelerating climate breakdown?
➡️ Can global supply chains be both efficient and equitable?
➡️ Can local communities — especially smallholder farmers — share in the value they help create?

At a time when climate change is reshaping agriculture and exposing structural inequalities, food systems have become a critical lens through which we understand sustainability itself.

They sit at the intersection of:
Environmental limits + Economic structures + Social justice

And the solutions cannot come from one perspective alone.

This Sustainability Seminar brings together voices across policy, academia, and grassroots practice to explore how more resilient and equitable food systems can be built — in practice, not just in theory.

🌱 Sustainable agriculture & climate resilience
🌍 Global inequalities embedded in supply chains
👩‍🌾 Community-led farming & youth empowerment

🌍 The challenge Youth farmers in Wakiso are eager to learn

But training programs lack the visual tools needed to effectively demonstrate agricultural techniques.

This makes it harder to:
• Teach modern farming practices
• Engage large groups
• Ensure knowledge is retained

💡 A single $500 projector can transform training sessions into engaging, visual learning experiences.
With this tool, TYoFU can train more young farmers and help them build stronger agricultural livelihoods.

📍Knowledge becomes clearer.
📍Skills become stronger.
📍Opportunities grow.

Small tools can create powerful change.
Help us close the learning gap❣️

❓Why visual learning matters❓

Agriculture training is most effective when farmers can see techniques in action.
Videos, diagrams, and demonstrations make it easier to understand:
🌱 Soil management
💧 Water conservation
🌾 Crop protection
📈 Productivity techniques

But without a projector, trainers must rely only on verbal explanations.
This limits how much farmers can learn and remember.

✨With your support, we can provide a projector that turns training sessions into interactive learning experiences.

✨Help us bring visual learning to youth farmers in Wakiso!!

✨For a limited time, online donations up to $50 will be matched by 50% by GlobalGiving while funds last.

✨ A $10 donation can become $15 today! ✨

Little by Little starts TODAY.
For a limited time, your donation can go even further!!

From March 17–20, donations made through GlobalGiving’s Little by Little campaign will be matched by 50% (up to $50).
That means your support can create an even greater impact for youth farmers in rural Uganda.

Your donation will help us:
📽 Show farming training videos
🌾 Demonstrate agricultural techniques visually
👩🏽‍🌾 Train larger groups of youth farmers

A single projector can transform how knowledge is shared — and when knowledge spreads, communities grow stronger.

✨ Every donation makes a difference.
