On this International World Refugee Day, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Makerere University reaffirms its unequivocal commitment to empowering refugee youth. The Program remains a beacon of hope, recognising refugee youth's extraordinary potential and resilience. Despite encountering immense challenges, these young individuals exhibit exceptional determination and strength. By emphasising education's transformative and empowering nature, the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Makerere University is a catalyst for change. It strives to realise refugee youth's potential and give them the necessary knowledge and skills to flourish and effect positive changes in their lives and communities.
