Sarah Nakku delivered a presentation at the launch of the National Rehabilitation and Assistive Technology Strategic Plan 2025-2030, held at the Ministry of Health Head Office in Kampala. She highlighted challenges faced by individuals with dwarfism, such as joint pains and the difficulties encountered by mothers unable to deliver normally. She emphasized the need for increased attention and support for people with dwarfism.
This initiative is part of our efforts to promote inclusive access to sexual and reproductive health services, funded by the Disability Rights Fund.

Training of Little Persons as SRHS Ambassadors in Sironko and Budaka districts. They will advocate for SRHS issues affecting persons of short stature, raise awareness about dwarfism as a disability, and mobilize and refer individuals to SRHS services. The training was conducted by Assistant DHO Maternity and district community development officers, who also provided guidance on accessing government livelihood programs to enhance income and improve SRHS access. Project inception meeting in inclusive access to SRHR among little persons in Budaka and Sironko district. The activity aimed at explaining project objectives and key indicators such that stakeholders can understand their roles and responsibilities to make key commitments for effective implementation of the project. It was attended by CAO, LCV chairpersons, district departmental heads, district councilors for persons with disabilities, representatives of persons of short stature.
