Uganda Media Women's Association Mama FM 101.7 is our radio station. Uganda Media Women’s Association is a voluntary, non-profit NGO run by women journalists in Uganda.

Uganda Media Women’s Association (UMWA) is a voluntary, registerednon-governmental umbrella organization and an association for female journalists and women involved in information management in Uganda. UMWA envisages a time when Ugandan women can make informed decisions by having access to the right information on Rights, fight for the rights of women working in the media but also not excluding b

The Uganda Media Women’s Association (UMWA) in partnership with Union of Persons with Disability (NUDIPU) and EastAfrican Center for Disability Law and Policy is hosting a breakfast meeting bringing together media managers, editors, and reporters to strengthen awareness on the importance of disability-inclusive reporting.

The engagement will provide practical tips on ethical, accurate, and inclusive storytelling that amplifies the voices of persons with disabilities and promotes equal representation in the media.

Together, we can build a media landscape that leaves no one behind.
