Climate change is a global point of discussion and in Uganda inclusive. Raising temperatures,floods and food insecurity have sparked these arguments. We have encouraged community clean ups and fruit tree planting spearheaded by children as a sign of equipping the next generation with skills of preserving their environment and inspire communities to feed the planet as it feeds us all hence a green generation. In December 2025, Mpenzi children foundation Africa in partnership with Tweyanze happy souls managed to conduct a community clean up in Gaba that was closed with planting fruit trees that are to be monitored by child ambassadors from these areas.This can be achievable and more impactful through introduction of green school programs, introduction of community gardens to grow more food ,encourage locals to plant trees of different species, formation of climate clubs in schools and partnerships with local entities to sponsor environment activities and preserve spaces .

Bringing games and sports into schools is like unlocking a whole new world for the less privileged children. In Uganda’s vibrant communities ,sports and games aren’t just fun,they are a gateway to growth fot them. These activities can spark joy, build skills and create life long opportunities. Mpenzi children foundation Africa is taking an initiative to partner with community schools to introduce and support games and sports like ; chess , football etc . Many children have no hope for the future.They have no accessibility to better education, medication and neither do they have a safe place to call home . Working in salt mines is the only way they can get a book,school fees and what to eat.Afraid of the attacks from wild Animals,they try so hard to survive. Their future is uncertain. On 23rd -25th of June ,through our continued annual charitable outreach in Kasese, we offer scholastic materials, dressing materials, and psychosocial support to underprivileged children. In this category of 17 children, we have orphaned, abandoned, and children from severely poor families.

We noted fundamental growth in some of our children and one of them is a primary seven candidate this year. However, some of the children required special attention In this category. We noted those children, initiated close monitoring and follow up.

We also stretched our impact to identify other children so as to expand our support and touch more lives . We extended our interest into schools ie Kasanga primary school Bwera and Jabez primary school katwe. We interviewed the head teachers and other teachers in these schools to understand the root causes and identify new special cases. We are resolving to work closely with those schools to identify new cases so that we can monitor the new cohort.

Kicking out period poverty amongst the less privileged girls to avoid school dropouts and teenage pregnancy @ Lugala landing site in Namayigo district Eastern Uganda.
Girls were taught how to keep proper hygiene to avoid infections and proper disposal to avoid damaging the environment.
They received Sanitary pads to use for a period of 3months in their different clusters and communities . Let’s end the stigma and empower girls to stay in school for a better future .
