The involvement of student organisations in the public sphere marked a significant turning point in Mr Sabahelkhir's life, as he was actively involved in the student wing of the Sudanese Congress Party during the civil movement that preceded the outbreak of the war.

Following the outbreak of the war in Sudan, Sabahelkhir focused his efforts on issues of refugee integration within host communities and the promotion of peacebuilding pathways, with a particular focus on the roles young people can play in addressing the effects of conflict.

Sabahelkhir's Peace Frame organisation focuses on promoting youth diplomacy as a means of fostering positive peace and enhancing the involvement of young people both within their respective communities and on a global scale.

On 15 May, Sabahelkhir will share his perspectives on youth work and peacebuilding in contexts affected by conflict.

Mr Idriss comes from an academic background in economics and management and is widely engaged in journalism and opinion writing, with numerous published articles exploring questions of human rights, social justice, and civic engagement.

Alongside his writing, Chahbi has built extensive experience across local and international civil society organisations, most notably Amnesty International, where his work reflects a sustained commitment to advancing human dignity, freedoms, and rights, particularly within the Moroccan context.
Drawing from these experiences, Chahbi will join us on May 15th to share his perspectives on shaping broader narratives that bridge innovation with cross-border engagement, and on the evolving role of youth and human rights actors in fostering more effective regional impact.

Ms Dania Kahla draws on a unique experience that began to shape her career within the Palestinian territories and the student movement, where she was an active member of Fatah.
Drawing on her academic background in political science and international relations, Kahla went on to engage with civil society, developing a passion for research. Meanwhile, she encountered a highly complex context shaped by a long-standing conflict.
On 15 May, Dania will share her perspective on cross-border youth work in the MENA region, with a particular focus on creating more effective roles that young people can play in promoting regional peace and security.

In the context of an increasingly interconnected world, young people are redefining diplomacy through digital advocacy, grassroots action, and cross-border engagement.

On 15 May, the evolving role of youth diplomacy will be explored, along with the opportunities to strengthen its impact in shaping peacebuilding, advocacy, and international engagement.
