This is my story
As a small child loved to
care for other children so much.every day i would to play,share my everything with my fellow children at our village and even at school but my siblings,my brother john ,sofia died at the same car accident when i was 12years old leaving me to be house mother to my young brother Haruna,Every time i remember two coffins in our sitting room, they were not
fitting in the room because the room was too small,i remember how our mother used to look after us despite of her having no money,she truly loved us .may her soul rest in internal peace. The next year we went to our uncle,he was also poor with a big family and life there wasn't changed,we get mistreated instead then we run away to streets. While at street life was so disgusting ,No hope to food ,No more shelter,everything there was "NO"
One day around the village some good men and women of God and organised a big crusade (i can not remember their names)they preached to the people,me and my brother were there listening but our intentions were to get something to eat not Gospel. The next day of the crusade the woman who preached talked about this verse i will not leave as orphans,i will come to you .John14:18 this touched my me and i asked my brother have you heard that ?He answered no, Reading the for the first time in my life taught me truth about God . In 2011,still on streets,an angle of wisdom came to me and said to me to start helping my brothers and sisters on the streets and one man called Magala gave me a small job at his bicycle garage paying me 3$a day .and this was the money l used to buy others food ,and water for drinking. God Blessed me and this good man rented me a house for me and my brother because i was hard working ,i didn't tell him that i was to bring others in. Unfortunately he died in 2017 .my personal scriptures was psalms 10:18 you defend the fatherless and oppressed ,so that mere mortals may no longer terrorise them. When i invited others in ,God started working in me and rescued as many as 14 children my first work was to gather the orphaned and a abandoned children at village encouraging them and giving them hope through
Words . Then using the little money i had to buy them some things to eat ,when God is in you nothing is impossible,God puts songs back into the hearts of children and accepted to live with me despite of our poor situation. Since then ,with the support and our near by village people,children are able to get some things to eat ,to dress up and sleep under a roof not at the streets .Glory be to God . We still have along way to go we need to buy our own land to be able :
1 To build our own charity home to accommodate more needy children
2 To build our own school to educate more needy children who are in position to afford school fees on their own.
3 To grow our own crops to stop hunger .upon graduation,they attend vocational college to learn skills in training,computers,building,carpentry,animal husbandry or agriculture. Every single human being deserves a chance to leave a good life, Each child is entitled to food ,water,medicine and education. And this is our call. pleased and blessed to be on here, and will be blessed to meet people. Am a Christian that loves God and his people. happy to share a little i have with others and its one of our supreme goals as we are still in this life journey!!
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Golden Eye children center Uganda was founded in 2017 by mubiru frank . He went to school through an orphanage which paid his school fees, medical, housing, and parenting from the early ages after losing his parents. After finishing school, he decided to team up and start up an orphanage home to take care of vulnerable children in society. With limited resources, he couldn’t go far but started by writing to schools both public and private to offer bursaries to disadvantaged children and this is one of their most successful achievements as he is of today have 12 children on their bursary program, thanks to the generous school owners and managements that believed and offered them a chance. Their dream is slowly getting to life. This is all attributed to the history that they hold. THE PLAN
At inception, these are the areas that we agreed to offer priority and support them with subsequent measurable projects
Build a home for vulnerable children, disadvantaged and handicapped , children with mental health disorder, orphans, and HIV positive children
Build a primary school on the same land that houses the home that offers education to the children and the community
Set up a fully facilitated clinic for the children and the community at large
Empower community initiatives that empower parents financially with focus on skills development and award of equipment’s
Attract bursaries and sponsorships for disadvantaged children at higher levels of education
Ran awareness campaigns that promote equality among all humans
CURRENT STATUS
Currently, we have been able to start on most of our key agenda programs,
We have been able to start a home that is currently housing 16 children and most of them attending school, 6 are on bursary program, others are catered by the orphanage through and contribution from the founders and others have not yet started school. Though we have gone a step forward, we haven’t reached a level where the children are comfortable enough as they would be in an ordinary home. We still lack good housing facilities, and general low standards of living as we have no water (the nearest source is three kilometers away), enough food, clothing, quality education, transport and medical care. We improvise to make sure every child survives but it is not easy and sometimes we fail. We also lack trained staff to handle these kids professionally. We are simply doing what we can to keep life moving no matter afford a living. We are already conducting awareness campaigns especially about HIV, discrimination, GBV, and violence against children, we also add career guidance to benefit the children who are in school to plan their future at a young age by encouraging them to create their focus professions early enough
SUSTAINABILITY PLAN
We have a sustainability plan to each of our projects once they are set up
The home
We shall engage in agriculture to support feeding of the children, the returns from other projects as explained below will also support the running of the home in the long ran
The primary school
We shall sustain the school by offering quality education that will attract well off community children to attend the school, these will be able to pay a fee to the school. Such fees shall support the sustainability and further development of the school. We shall also focus on ports it attracts children to join schools
The clinic
Just like the school, the clinic shall be open for the general public and those that are able to pay shall pay a small fee that will help to operate the clinic, government of Uganda also offers basic drugs at no cost to such clinics
School bursaries
This program will be sustained by continuously applying to schools and offering private coaching to our children so that the offer good grades to the schools, this will help market the schools and they will intern encourage bursary programs. We also hope to create partnerships with organizations that invest in education and recruiting more sponsors especially internationally
NOTE: the founders want to purchase land for all this project
