The fight for clean water is real, and it’s on display in our communities like the one in this photo. [Photo: Now children are involved in hard labor to fetch water from a borehole, a key source which seems to wear out and maybe not capable of serving the communities’ need of clean water.]

The urgency for the target of UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation cannot be more poignantly portrayed. Safe, affordable and accessible water is an inalienable human right, but millons of people around the world still do not have it. Based on the appalling status of this water point,implies that supply is limited and that infrastructure is in need of imminent redevelopment or enhancement.

When people don’t have consistent access to clean water in communities, it affects everything: health, education (kids miss school to collect water), economic opportunities, overall well-being.
