Easter In Slums is here under the theme . We aim to help 500 families in the Katwe slums with food hampers. You can also volunteer to distribute these hampers on April 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This is crucial due to recent restrictions in Kampala City affecting street vending and increased food insecurity, compounded by the Middle East conflicts impacting families reliant on remittances.

Join us in rekindling hope and demonstrating Christ’s love to these families. Together, we can make a meaningful impact!

Providing Christmas Lunch Boxes with a soft drink to children living on the streets is one of the ways we get to spread love and bring hope under Christmas In Slums outreach activities.

We hope to reach 1000 children living on the streets of Mbarara and Kampala Cities this Christmas.

We have provided and donated Christmas Food Hampers to the most vulnerable families in the slums of Kampala City and foster homes, we are yet at it again this Christmas. Our target is to assist 600 families.

Our annual Christmas In Slums returns to bring joy, hope, and generosity to vulnerable families and children living in the streets of Mbarara and Kampala Cities.

Each year, Christmas Food Hampers helps relieve the financial pressures of the season by providing fresh and dry food support, and a festive celebration filled with the true spirit of Christmas. ❤️

This Christmas, as the needs in our community continue to grow, we’re inviting YOU to be part of Christmas In Slums — through giving, volunteering, or spreading the word.

In February, the commencement of the school term in Uganda started us to initiate our outreach programs in community schools.

Our team was thrilled to engage with the students through games, icebreakers, and the learning of a memorable Bible verse.

Alongside our friends and partners, Naomi Hub and Faith + Football, were engaged in activities with the pupils, including teaching them a memory verse from the Bible, playing games, and serving them a lunch meal.

We are grateful to our volunteers, partners, and school administrators for their efforts in making this possible. We continue to extend our support to more community schools and disadvantaged teenage girls at the centre of our communities.

We have enjoyed remarkable moments during Easter In Slums outreaches in Kampala City over the years. This year, we are thrilled to extend our efforts to Mbarara City, Kisoro District, and Kampala City as well.

Our outreaches begins with at Grace Home Care, which is dedicated to supporting children fighting cancer in the heart of Mbarara City, where we will provide them with essential food supplies.

In Kisoro District, we will assist the Batwa Community “The Batwa are an indigenous community, also known as “pygmies,” who traditionally lived in the forests of southwestern Uganda” by distributing clothing and other necessities, fostering emotional support and enhancing community connections.

Lastly, in Kampala City, we will support families in Makerere Kivulu by providing fresh and non-perishable food items. Confronted with food shortages and hunger, we aim to bring HOPE and LOVE to all these cherished communities.
