JUSTICE FOR OUR CHILDREN. PROTECT EVERY CHILD.

We are deeply heartbroken by the tragic events in the Ggaba daycare attack case, where innocent children lost their lives.

Reports confirm that the prime suspect has now been brought before court to face charges. While this is an important step, it does not take away the pain, the loss, and the trauma these families are going through.

At Furaha Foundation, we believe:
Justice must be served — fully and fairly ⚖️
Every child deserves protection, care, and safety
Such acts must never happen again in our communities
This is not just a case ……it is a wake-up call.

We call upon authorities to ensure that the legal process is handled with seriousness, transparency, and urgency. Our children deserve justice, and our communities deserve safety.

We also urge parents, caregivers, and communities:
Stay alert, Speak up, Protect every child as your own
🙏 We continue to pray for the families affected. May God give them strength in this unimaginable time.

🕊️ Rest in peace, little angels. You will never be forgotten.

REVEALED: Disturbing Details Emerge in Ggaba Daycare Tragedy

As a nation continues to grieve, more heartbreaking details are emerging about the tragic incident at a daycare in Ggaba that has left Uganda in shock.

The main suspect, Christopher Okello Onyim, is reported to be a U.S. citizen who spent over 20 years living and working in the United States, where he served as a nursing assistant in Northern Virginia. He returned to Uganda in November 2025 under circumstances that are still unclear, raising many questions about what led to his sudden relocation.

Upon his return, Onyim initially stayed with his family in Bunga, Kampala, before relocating to Nwoya District to pursue farming. Reports suggest this move led to disagreements within his family. He later returned to Kampala and settled in Kyanja shortly before the incident—details that are now part of ongoing investigations.

Authorities believe the attack may have been premeditated. It is alleged that days before the tragedy, the suspect visited the daycare posing as a parent seeking admission. On the day of the incident, he reportedly paid school fees via mobile money, gaining trust and access. He is then believed to have locked the premises before carrying out the horrific act.

Uganda mourns the innocent lives lost—Ryan Odeke, Keisha Otim, Gideon Eteko, and Ignatius Sserunyange—children whose futures were cut short in an act that has shaken the entire nation.

Additional reports suggest the suspect may have been involved in a previous violent incident in 2017, though details remain unclear. Questions around his mental state have also surfaced, but no official confirmation has been made at this time.

The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities are working to uncover the full truth behind this tragedy and the motives involved.

At Furaha Foundation, our hearts are with the families, the community, and every child affected. This is a painful reminder of the need to protect our children, strengthen our systems, and stand together as a society.

We continue to pray for comfort, healing, and justice.

More updates will be shared as verified information becomes available.

Every child deserves a chance to live.
But millions still don’t. 💔

In 2024, an estimated 4.9 million children died before their 5th birthday including 2.3 million newborns.

The hardest truth?
Most of these lives could have been saved with simple, low-cost care.

There is hope:
Child deaths have dropped by more than 50% since 2000.
But progress is slowing… and too many children are still being lost.

The main causes:
Newborn complications (almost half of all deaths)
Malaria (17% after infancy)
Pneumonia & diarrhoea
Malnutrition (linked to many deaths)

This isn’t just data these are real children, real families, real futures lost.

Together, we can change this.
Through care, awareness, and action, we can save lives.

Before making a donation to any charity anywhere in the world… understand this. ❤️

Is giving money enough to change a child’s life?

It’s easy to think that helping a child is just about sending money.
But the truth is… it’s deeper than that.

A child doesn’t only need money.
They need care, guidance, education, and love.
Money can buy food.
But it cannot replace a safe environment.
Money can pay school fees.
But it cannot replace a teacher who believes in them.
Money can support a child…
But it is consistent love and opportunity that truly transforms their life.

At Furaha Foundation, we don’t just give, we walk with every child, every step of the way.

Because real change is not a one-time act…
It’s a commitment.
Let’s go beyond giving. Let’s build futures.

“Impact is not measured by how much you give… but by how deeply you change a life.”

Last week, we celebrated our Graduation Day at furaha junior school in a way our students and the whole community will never forget. With a lively band leading the way, we proudly walked around the community, spreading joy, music, and hope.

It wasn’t just a ceremony — it was a whole vibe. Smiles everywhere, music in the air, and our graduates shining with confidence and pride. The community came out to cheer, dance, and celebrate the power of education with us.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do: to inspire, to uplift, and to walk this journey together with our children and our community. 💙

Thank you to everyone who made this day special — from the teachers and parents to the community members who celebrated with us.
The future is bright, and this is only the beginning! 🌟📚
Marry Christmas and a happy new year.. see you again in 2026.

A Home Built on Love, Not Wealth 🌿

At Furaha Orphanage Center, we care for 24 beautiful little souls — children who once had nowhere to turn, but now wake up each morning with smiles, laughter, and hope.

Each of these children carries a story that could break your heart, yet somehow, they still find reasons to laugh, to dance, and to dream. Some were abandoned as infants, some lost their parents too soon, and others were found wandering the streets — hungry, scared, and forgotten. But today, they have a place they call home.

Our small orphanage might not have much. Some nights we stretch what little we have, and some mornings we wake up praying for the next meal. But in the middle of every struggle, there is love — a love that never runs out, a love that holds us together like family.

Here, we teach them to believe in themselves, to forgive life for being unfair, and to remember that they are precious in God’s eyes. We sing together, pray together, and celebrate even the smallest blessings. Every new day is a victory — proof that miracles still happen when love leads the way.

These children may not have parents, but they have each other, and they have us — people who believe that compassion can change a life.

We open our doors and our hearts to anyone who wishes to stand with us — through prayers, encouragement, or simply by sharing our story. Together, we can remind the world that being an orphan is not the end of a story, but the beginning of a new one filled with faith, strength, and endless hope.
