More than 3.1 million children in Uganda between the ages of 13 and 18 are currently out of school, with financial barriers being one of the leading reasons.

For many children, the challenge is not a lack of ability or ambition. It is the inability to afford school fees, uniforms, scholastic materials, or transportation.

Every child kept out of school represents untapped potential. Every child who returns to school is one step closer to a brighter future.

At Eunikare International, we believe education is more than a classroom. It is a pathway to dignity, opportunity, and lasting change.

Did you know that more than 3.1 million children in Uganda between the ages of 13 and 18 are currently out of school, with financial barriers being the most commonly cited reason?

Behind every statistic is a child whose dreams have been interrupted. A future leader who may never discover their potential. A young person who simply needs an opportunity.

At Eunikare International, we believe that education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives. Through our foundation, we currently support more than 310 children every year to access education and stay in school.

The smiling children you see in these photos are a testament to what is possible when people choose to care. A few years ago, many of them faced uncertainty and limited opportunities. Today, they are thriving academically and building brighter futures.

Today, we celebrate the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the heroes who laid the foundation for the nation we enjoy today.

At Eunikare International, we are reminded that heroism is not only found in extraordinary moments but also in the everyday acts of service that transform lives. It is found in educators who open doors of opportunity, in parents and guardians who nurture the next generation, in farmers who sustain communities, and in young people who dare to dream and lead change.

Caregiving goes beyond meeting basic needs, says Eunice Acan , an ED of Eunikare International Organization .

It is found in the patience to listen, the wisdom to guide, and the commitment to create a safe environment where a child can grow, learn, and thrive.

For orphaned and vulnerable children, the quality of care they receive can shape their confidence, well-being, and future opportunities.

As part of In the Eye of an Orphan, we continue to explore conversations that strengthen child protection and promote nurturing environments for every child.

We are proud to announce the upcoming launch of In the Eye of an Orphan this June — a purpose-driven initiative focused on advocacy and long-term impact for vulnerable orphaned children.

The project seeks to mobilize communities, partners, and institutions around a shared commitment: ensuring that children without access to education are not left behind.

With a long-term vision beginning in 2027, In the Eye of an Orphan aims to contribute toward helping millions of children return to school and access safer opportunities for growth and development.

This is more than a project. It is a call for collective responsibility, compassion, and sustainable action.
