2-4 Life Did It Again!
Thanks to the incredible support of , we were able to sterilize 7 cats in our rescue—4 females and 3 males.
Because of this sponsorship, these cats will be baby-free, helping to prevent countless kittens from being born into situations where they may face abandonment, neglect, or life on the streets.
Sterilization not only reduces suffering and overpopulation, but also helps cats live healthier, happier lives. The cats we've sterilized can now enjoy a better future, while many future kittens will be spared from hardship.
A huge thank you to the 2-4 Life Project for making this possible. Together, we're creating lasting change—one cat at a time. ❤️🐾

With the heaviest of hearts, we said our final goodbye to Ash. 💔

Run free, sweet baby girl.

You were far too precious for this world. Now you are our little angel, free from pain, fear, and suffering.

We’re so sorry we couldn’t keep the promise we made to you. We dreamed of watching you grow, run, and play with your siblings. We imagined the day your tiny legs would carry you across the room, chasing toys and causing all the little kitten mischief you never got the chance to make.

Instead, all we could do was hold you, love you, and fight alongside you until your very last breath.

We wanted so much more for you.

You deserved a lifetime of love, warm naps, endless treats, and a forever home. Instead, your life was heartbreakingly short. But in the time you were with us, you knew you were loved—so deeply loved.

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for every tiny purr, every cuddle, and every moment we were lucky enough to share with you.

Our hearts are shattered, and your little paw prints will stay with us forever.

Sleep peacefully, beautiful Ash. Until we meet again. 🌈🐾

The update we’ve all been waiting for… 💜

In the past two days, You gave Ash what every rescued soul deserves: a chance ! 🥹

After her X-rays and examination, this is what the vet found:
“There is no obvious abnormality in the back or in the legs, even during physical exam, there was no clear area of pain in the back and legs. So it’s possible that an old trauma caused pressure on the spinal nerves.”

The plan now is to put Ash on nerve support medication and physiotherapy exercises, then monitor how she responds. There are no guarantees that she’ll regain full use of her legs, but we’re holding on to hope she’ll respond well to treatment.

Because of your incredible generosity, we raised 490,000 UGX for Ash 🩶

Here’s how your donations have been used :
• Transportation (foster home ↔ hospital): 30,000 UGX
• X-rays and reading : 250,000 UGX
• 2 kg kitten food: 60,000 UGX

We also paid for another kitten bag for her siblings, another (60.000 UGX)

Total spent: 400.000 UGX

(The X-rays ended up costing more than expected because we had to take her to another hospital to avoid any further delays.)

The remaining 90.000 UGX will be covering the medications and supplements prescribed for one month for now, we will have to monitor her but we need to do follow-up check ups every two weeks to see her progress.

We’ll do everything we can to give Ash the healthiest, most comfortable, and happiest life possible.

To our amazing community—thank you for believing in her, we will keep you updated throughout her journey. 🩶

A special thank you to Vetpal Animal Clinic Kampala for arranging Ash’s
X-rays so quickly and for their guidance and support throughout the process. 🙏🏻

The face of a panleukopenia survivor in recovery. 💛🐾

This little boy fought one of the toughest battles a kitten can face.

Panleukopenia took an incredible toll on his tiny body. He lost so much weight that he was little more than skin and bones. Although he has beaten the virus, recovery doesn’t end there. His body is still healing, rebuilding strength, and learning to trust that food, warmth, and love are here to stay.

Every meal, every nap, and every tiny step forward is a victory.

His journey is also a reminder of just how devastating panleukopenia is. It is one of the deadliest diseases we see in kittens, and far too many don’t get the chance to recover.

The good news is that it is preventable through vaccination. Unfortunately, the panleukopenia vaccine is also one of the most expensive vaccines available to us, which makes it a challenge when caring for so many rescued cats.

Even so, we’ve made a promise to ourselves: protecting our cats will remain one of our biggest priorities. We are committed to making sure every cat already in our care—and every newcomer who arrives—has access to this lifesaving vaccine, no matter how difficult or costly it may be.

If sharing stories like his encourages even one person to vaccinate their cat, then his fight has already helped save another life. ❤️
Will you stand by us?

You don’t have to commit forever to change a life forever. 🤍

Fostering cats saves lives in more ways than people realize.
By fostering, you help free up space so we can rescue even more cats in need — while giving a cat comfort, safety, and a chance to trust again.

Not all cats do well in the shelter. Some need a quiet home to heal, trust and feel safe again. Some need one-on-one attention. And newborn babies especially have a much higher chance of surviving in a loving temporary home environment. 🍼🐾

We provide supplies, support, and guidance throughout the process.

If you’ve ever considered fostering… this is your sign.
Message us to become a foster hero ✨

And if you can’t foster right now, sharing this post helps more than you know.

Reach out and we will walk you through the whole process 💌

🚨 URGENT FOSTER APPEAL 🍼🐾

We are urgently taking in SEVEN newborn kittens who were found beside their deceased mother, along with another group of THREE 3-week-old kittens who also need care and support. 🤍

These tiny babies require round-the-clock feeding, warmth, cleaning, and constant monitoring to survive — and we urgently need temporary fosters to help us give them a chance.

Are there any kind souls willing to open their homes to foster some of these wee babies temporarily? 🥺

✨ We will provide supplies, guidance, and full support.

We also urgently need help purchasing more kitten formula, as bottle babies go through it incredibly fast. Each can of lactol formula from kenya Is 135,000ugx/$36

Every share, foster offer, donation, or tag could truly make the difference between life and death for these little ones. Please help us reach more people. 🤍🐾

NALY GETS ADOPTED AT 14 🥹🎉
Who says older cats are unadoptable?

Today, our eldest girl, Naly, finally got adopted… and honestly, we still can’t fully explain what this moment feels like. 🤍

Naly came to us after being surrendered at 9 years old. While most cats her age are often overlooked, she stayed gentle, patient, and full of love through every passing year.

For so long, she watched younger kittens get chosen before her. Week after week, adoption day after adoption day… she stayed behind quietly, still hoping someone would finally see her.

Watching her leave today was emotional in every possible way. She wasn’t just another rescue to us — she became part of our everyday life, our routine, and our family.

And now, she gets to experience what a real home feels like again. A couch to sleep on. A human to wait for. A life where she is finally chosen. 🤍

What makes this even more special is that she was adopted together with KAPPA — her close companion and Panleukopenia survivor. After everything they’ve both been through, they now get to start this next chapter side by side. Both cats comfortably fitting in already (see last 3 photos)

If you’ve ever thought older cats are “hard to adopt,” let Naly remind you that sometimes the right person is simply taking a little longer to find them.

Today was her day. 🥹🐾
