Elder abuse is a serious social problem in our society which manifests through omission and commission of certain actions against older Persons. As the world today observes the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day which is celebrated each year on June 15th. As Senior Citizens AgeCare Foundation Uganda we condemn elder abuse and voice our opposition to the vice as they say, human rights don't get old.

We are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) and Senior Citizens AgeCare Foundation Uganda (SCACFU) on 1st November 2022 for the mutual benefits based on a shared vision to collaborate in matters concerning senior citizens in Uganda. The MoU builds on the complementary strengths, experiences, networks and resources of the two signatories. UMSC was represented by Muhammad Ali Aluma, the UMSC Secretary for Social Services while SCACFU was represented Musa Mivule Semakula, the Managing Director.
