Nest of Joy is primarily focused on dealing with the challenge of education in a country where school dropouts have never been higher than currently. There is an alarming and increasing rate of school dropouts as a result of Family, Community an
d School challenges with the principle cause being poverty. The challenges of unemployment, inequality and poverty are forcing many learners to drop out of school because their families are unable to pay their schools fees or sometimes for simple school requirements such as uniforms, shoes, books etc. The challenge of school dropouts is so significant that we see boys taking on a career of crime, and many getting locked in other social menaces that lead to total destruction while girls face early unplanned pregnancies and the high risk of HIV infection from those that take advantage of their vulnerabilities, a huge number of girls find work as housemaids/house helpers, usually earning no more than $15 a month and are often subjected to physical, emotional and sexual abuse at the hands of their employers or taken advantage of by random individuals. Our main focus is building equality across society in areas like

By equipping school dropouts with technical skills and reintegrating those fit back into the mainstream education system. Our schooling programs assist these children to get critical skills and knowledge that they can apply in the general economy to enable them build an independent and sustainable livelihood.
✓ Community Outreach Programs
We do carry out community outreach programs with focus on Health care, Environmental protection, Access to technology and helping the needy, homeless and disabled in building an independent and sustainable living.
✓Rights advocacy
We advocate for the rights of women and children as well as offering legal representation to vulnerable sections of society like housemaids among others
