When they come back to us smiling, they remind us of the impact we are creating in our communities. It is not just about the smiles; it is about renewed hope for their futures, their families, and their communities.

Last-mile periodic markets are more than places of trade,
they are powerful platforms for connecting rural producers to buyers, strengthening local economies and creating income opportunities for women. They enable rural women to earn sustainable incomes while remaining close to their families, farms and communities.

At End Poverty Uganda, we are committed to expanding women's access to markets as a pathway to improved livelihoods, economic independence and household resilience. By supporting women to sell their products, build business networks and reach new customers directly, we help them increase their incomes and secure brighter futures for their families.

Seven years ago, We grew tired of accepting the status quo;
People with potential cannot remain trapped in the vicious cycle of poverty—their futures stolen, their ambitions shattered—while the world simply watches.
End Poverty Uganda, Every day, we roll up our sleeves to challenge poverty by equipping the most marginalized young people—especially girls and women—with the skills, knowledge, opportunities and resources they need to build sustainable livelihoods and transform their futures.
We believe that potential exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. Our mission is to bridge that gap.

Some opportunities don't just teach a skill. They restore dignity, rebuild confidence, and rewrite futures.

‎Every time we walk into one of our vocational training centers, we are reminded that behind every learner is a story. A story of interrupted education, unemployment, limited opportunities, or dreams that simply needed someone to believe in them.

This is why we continue to invest in skills development. Because when young people are equipped with the right skills, they don't just change their own lives. They strengthen their families, inspire their communities, and help break the cycle of poverty. This is the impact End Poverty Uganda believes in.

Started Week with an emotional Monday.

As Operations Manager at End Poverty Uganda, I have the privilege of meeting many of the young people whose lives our programs touch. But this morning, I received a phone call that left me deeply moved.
Through tears, one of our beneficiaries said:

"You have no idea what you, the End Poverty Uganda family, mean to my life. You found me when nobody believed in me—not even my own parents. You gave me a second chance when the whole world had turned against me. Having a child at 15, the only thing on my mind was su***de. But you believed in me when nobody else did... even when I didn't believe in myself. I will never forget you."
Then, jokingly, said,

"One day, I will become a sponsor of our organization because I consider it my biological mother."

I was left speechless.
Moments like these remind us that the true impact of our work is not found in reports or statistics, but in restored hope, renewed purpose and transformed lives.
This is why we serve. This is why we believe in second chances. This is why End Poverty Uganda exists.

Across many communities, girls face child marriage, sexual violence, domestic abuse, emotional violence, and harassment both in and outside school. These experiences force countless girls to miss classes, perform poorly, or drop out altogether.Ending violence against girls requires collective action from parents, teachers, community leaders, policymakers, and young people themselves.
When girls are safe, they stay in school. When girls stay in school, communities prosper. It's our responsibility to create safe spaces for girls through strengthening community protection systems, provide life skills and raising awareness on girls' rights.
