Uganda celebrated the 8th National Good Deeds Day. The day began with a vibrant brass band and marching session in Namugongo, setting a powerful and uplifting tone for the day. The event brought together communities, partners and stakeholders in a shared commitment to kindness and positive action.

Children showcased their talents with pride and enthusiasm, adding colour and energy to the celebration while highlighting the importance of nurturing young potential. Their performances reflected hope, creativity and the promise of a brighter future.

The day was also marked by impactful activities including blood donation and tree planting, each contributing to healthier communities and a more sustainable environment. These acts demonstrated the strength of collective responsibility in driving meaningful change.

As an organisation, we are proud to have been part of this celebration of service and impact. It reaffirmed our belief that doing good starts with one act but together, we can create lasting transformation.

Day 2 of LightUp Impact Days 2025

It’s not about who controls the money but who controls the power.
Today’s conversations were a powerful reminder that meaningful inclusion goes beyond representation.

Youth don’t just need seats at the table they need the mic, the platform, and the trust to lead.
A true power shift means co-creation, not tokenism, creating spaces where young people to influence decisions, shape policies and drive innovation that speaks to their lived realities.

When young people are trusted with power, we see solutions that are inclusive, innovative, and sustainable and respond to the real challenges communities face.

At LightUp Impact Days 2025, the call is clear:
To center youth in climate action, decision-making, and innovation and to invest in youth-led change, not as a checkbox, but as a pathway to justice and transformation.
