It is with deep sadness we heard of the death of Br Tony Dolan, one of our long term partners in Nebbi Uganda. Tony was without doubt a great missionary who quietly accomplished so much in his life. May you rest in peace kind sout.

VC Venture Training Live, interactive delivery. Practical skills.

VC's Venture training programme will suit those who thrive in a live, interactive learning environment. The programme provides a solid grounding in many key practical aspects of development and humanitarian work. VC’s Theory of Change seeks to improve health and education outcomes as well as improve livelihoods. It recognises VC’s partners’ need for greater resources and capacity to deliver relevant services. Training in areas relevant to sustainability and good practice is a vital element in achieving this goal. Venture is now being offered to local staff working within VC partners and their affiliate organisations in a strategic focus on Uganda in line with an increasing focus on localisation.

The training will consist of 6 days (5 hours per day) of live training sessions, plus access to over 20 hours of online, independent learning, delivered by facilitators who are experts in the sector.
Dates for Venture 2025 are yet to be confirmed. This page will be updated with this information as soon as it becomes available.

We check in on MARIA SILENZI, a VC-ESC volunteer at Caritas Kampala. She's leading an inspiring project: a charity store for second-hand clothes, entrepreneurial training, and support for women in need.

Maria's focus is on environmental awareness and upcycling, while empowering young Ugandan designers.

The goal? Building community, mutual aid, and economic sustainability.

Join VC for the international launch of our inclusive and accessible Disability and Climate Change course!

Supported by Erasmus+ and in collaboration with our Finnish partners, Abilis Foundation, VC present an engaging roundtable discussion and Q&A session that explores the impact of climate change on persons with disabilities.

The newly developed Disability and Climate Change learning module will be presented by VC's Training Specialist, Miriam Hockey.
