After a long holiday, the quiet classrooms will soon be filled again with voices, laughter, and the sound of pages turning. As studies officially resume on 10th February, our children are preparing to return to school with renewed hope and determination.
But before anything else, we pause to say thank you.

To everyone who has ever stood with Light the Future Foundation through prayers, encouragement, sharing our posts, or financial support please know that you are part of every smile we see on these children’s faces. Because of you, children who once felt forgotten have felt seen. Children who had lost hope have dared to dream again. You believed in this mission, and your kindness continues to shape young lives in ways words can never fully express.

You are the reason many of our children have been able to sit in a classroom, wear a uniform with pride, and hold a pen with confidence.
And yet, as the new term begins, we find ourselves once again at a critical moment.
Some of our children are ready to report back to school… but they do not have the tuition fees required to be allowed in class. Others have no exercise books, pens, school bags, or proper uniforms. A few are quietly wondering if this term will pass like others before watching from home while their friends continue learning.

It breaks our hearts, because we know how much these children love school. We have seen them walk long distances just for a chance to learn. We have watched them protect their old books like treasure. We have heard them talk about becoming teachers, doctors, engineers, and leaders.

Education is not just school for them.
It is hope.
It is dignity.
It is a way out of hardship.
It is the road to a future they can barely see, but deeply believe in.

Today, we humbly come to you again. We are in urgent need of support for tuition and scholastic materials so that every child under our care can return to school with confidence this term.

What a blessing it is to witness these young boys and girls step into a new chapter of their lives. Today was more than just a graduation — it was a celebration of growth, courage, and the bright futures that lie ahead for each one of them.

I was deeply honored to serve as the Guest of Honor at my baby class teacher’s graduation ceremony for his dear students. Standing before these young graduates, seeing their smiles and hearing their dreams, reminded me that every small seed we plant in a child’s heart can grow into something extraordinary.
This day was filled with joy, hope, and gratitude. The dedication of the teachers, the support of the parents, and the determination of the students created a moment that will stay with us forever. Watching these young stars shine reminded me that the future truly belongs to those who nurture, guide, and believe in the power of education.

Congratulations to all the graduates!
May this be the first of many steps toward great achievements.
And to the teachers — thank you for shaping minds and lighting paths.
Today was a blessing. A reminder. A milestone.
A day worth celebrating.

A Story of Hope Abraham’s Fight for a Future

In a world where hope often fades in the face of pain, Light the Future Foundation continues to be a bridge between despair and destiny. Among the many lives we’ve touched, one shines with extraordinary courage Abraham’s.
Abraham’s story begins with heartbreak. He was just a little boy when tragedy struck both of his parents passed away from AIDS, leaving him completely alone in a world that seemed to have forgotten him. Left abandoned, without food, without shelter, and without love, Abraham was fighting not just for survival, but for a reason to keep going.

Yet, even in his frailty and pain, Abraham never stopped dreaming. He carries within him a light that cannot be dimmed the dream of becoming an engineer. He wants to build things that last, to create a better world than the one that once turned its back on him. Despite living with HIV, Abraham wakes up each day with hope, believing that tomorrow can still hold a promise.
But Abraham’s dream is slowly slipping away not because he lacks the will, but because he lacks the means. He needs just $300 to begin his journey again to buy a school uniform, shoes, and books, and to start the process of rehabilitation and education.

At Light the Future Foundation, we believe that no dream should die because of poverty or pain. We are standing beside Abraham, but we can’t do it alone. We’re asking from the depths of our hearts help us restore Abraham’s dream.
