Today, we conducted a medical camp in Wabigalo Parish. The medical camp was organized by Earnest Foundation Uganda and Dr. friends from China ,who conducted medical tests and provided treatment, as well as medicines to the community.

We sincerely thank our Area Councillor (LC3), Wabigalo for mobilizing the residents and supporting the successful implementation of this outreach.

Thank you all for your support and service to the community.

Justice Emmanuel Baguma has confirmed that court received a medical report from prison authorities indicating that veteran politician Dr Kizza Besigye is admitted at Mulago Hospital. The judge made the remarks after state-appointed lawyers representing Dr Besigye submitted that his absence from court could affect a fair hearing. He directed the Commissioner General of Prisons to obtain a medical report from Mulago Hospital to establish whether Dr Besigye is fit to stand trial. The case has been adjourned to August 18, 2026.

We have just returned from Mulago Hospital, where Dr. Kizza Besigye is currently fighting for his life in the ICU. His ICU room is surrounded by a massive, aggressive deployment of heavily armed guards.
Why must a critically ill, unconscious man in an intensive care unit be subjected to a mountain of guns? This excessive display of force inside a sacred place of healing is both absurd and deeply inhumane!

Despite our efforts, we were barred from seeing him. Mulago’s Deputy Executive Director, Mr. John Sekabira, claimed they are simply following "standard medical procedures" that restrict ICU visitors.

But let me be clear: there is absolutely nothing standard or medical about keeping a patient in critical condition under a military siege.

Prominent Ugandan opposition figure Kizza Besigye has been admitted to an intensive care unit after collapsing during a court appearance in Kampala, according to a statement from his wife, Winnie Byanyima. The 70-year-old politician is on trial for treason and has been in custody since November 2024. According to his wife, Besigye was transferred to a hospital in Kampala, where concerns have again been raised about his health. This is the third time he has been hospitalized since his detention. His wife has repeatedly criticized his detention conditions, describing them as inhumane and alleging a plot to kill him. President Yoweri Museveni's government has imposed a widening crackdown on opposition figures, lawyers and independent media in recent months.
