What a beautiful afternoon checking on friends in the community and being able to share donations from our Kampala community! Thankful for being able to go the extra mile and be distributors of such things. Knowing people in the community, knowing their kids and their needs means we are able to bless people with things they really need! Curtains and hangers might seem like essentials in your house but for many they can be a luxury they don't have spare cash to purchase such items!

Thankful for friendships and being able to share these small but beautiful gifts !

Look at these beautiful smiles! ✨

Guess what? Our compound has been absolutely buzzing and smelling amazing because we hosted an unforgettable Community Barbecue!!🍗🔥

Since it is the school holiday season, we had so many more children attend than usual—and my goodness, they had the most fantastic time! We all got involved and we're hosted by Kivulu community. We roasted and cut up the chicken and cooked the rice together, it was so wonderful working together. For so many of our local families, having a completely free event like this is a true blessing. The parents were absolutely thrilled to bring their children out for a proper day of fun, food, and laughter, especially since they didn't have other holiday plans lined up. 💛

To all of our incredible supporters who do life with these families here in Kampala—your generosity makes days like this possible! 🥰 !

There is absolutely nothing like a mother’s love—and school visiting days are proof! 🥰✨

Our wonderful Mama Rita made a special trip to the school to visit her daughter, Rita, for visiting day. And of course, she brought along Rita’s brother, who looked so smart and ready to cheer on his big sister! 🤩

Look at those poses!What makes this even more special is seeing how Mama Rita continues to pour into her family. She has been actively attending our Parenting Training sessions, showing up consistently to learn, share, and grow as a parent. Seeing her take onboard our advice and be so intentional with showing love, encouragement, and present to her children is what Musizi Joy is all about! 🏡✨

These moments of family connection mean the absolute world to students. Being away at school can be tough, but seeing your family on Visiting Day can make it all worth it. We are so incredibly proud of Rita and so grateful for the beautiful, supportive family surrounding her.

Termly school check-ins are officially in full swing! 📝✨

Once every school term, our incredible Community Mentoring Officers make a special, one-off visit to each school our sponsored kida attend. These aren't just quick drop-offs—they are intentional, beautiful moments where we get to sit down face-to-face with the kids, chat with their teachers, and make sure they feel fully supported both in and out of the classroom!

It’s all about letting our students know that their Musizi Joy family is always cheering them on, no matter how far they are from the community as some children attend boarding school on the outskirts of Kampala. Seeing them thrive in their school environment is the ultimate reward! 😍🇺🇬
