Our vision is to create an environment that fosters youth self sustainability for holistic community transformation. "Living Life Together".

A Community based organization Empowering communities to achieve holistic transformation, by providing access to education, safe water, economic empowerment and self-sustainability. The Generous Hand Initiative is a Charity organisation that focuses on creating a space for transformation, capacity building and youth empowerment in the slums of Kampala Uganda through community service and the trans

formative power of yoga. This is achieved through organizing/ facilitating outreach community service projects, yoga/ wellness practices as well as facilitating free dance/creative arts workshops, drug abuse awareness and sensitization with an aim of enhancing mental health and nurturing talents to promote self reliance and sustainability of children and youth living in the slums of Nsambya, Kampala/ Uganda. The establishment and goal implementation of this initiative has provided a platform to be of service, to assess and analyze community challenges and identify appropriate and sustainable solutions to address them for holistic community growth, development and transformation. mission:

Dissan sebaduka was on the verge of dropping out of school, until he got a chance to a better future through the back to school support program, under the generous hand initiative.

Transform a child’s life by sponsoring their education, a monthly gift or a one off donation will redirect a child’s narrative.

Lack of access to basic education is a major challenge that has brought about a recurring cycle of poverty.

With 7 out of 10 boys dropping out of school before the age of 14 and girls dropping out even as early as 9 years, this is mainly due to the extreme poverty faced by the people, with very limited opportunities to afford the very basic educational necessities like books, pencils, pens and other scholastic materials.

This is a major cause of school drop outs which results to early marriages and no chance to a decent future.
