We engaged young people in a powerful experience-sharing session on the social norms and triggers that hinder access to SRHR services.

Harmful beliefs and silence continue to block young people from getting the care they need but their voices are driving change.

As an outcome, an SRHR club has been formed: Remi Safe Youth Hubs, to strengthen peer learning, dialogue, and access to accurate SRHR information.

Silence fuels violence speak up.

The struggle continues

Today, we held an engaging session with teenage boys on understanding masculinity and challenging harmful gender norms.

Through open discussions and role plays, the boys explored the pressures of “being a real man” and how these expectations can lead to risky behaviors and disrespect.

By the end of the session, many participants redefined masculinity as:
✔ Respecting others
✔ Taking responsibility for their actions
✔ Practicing self-control

💬 “A real man is someone who respects girls and makes his own decisions.” From Asuma one of the youngest boy in the session.

This activity is part of our commitment to raising a generation of boys who choose empathy over aggression and respect over pressure.
