Global Music Collective 🌍🎶 Global initiative dedicated to the power of collaboration as a bridge between diverse cultures.

The Global Music Collective is an international music organization with a constantly growing series of recordings, performances, collaborations, workshops, and forums. Global Music Collective was created to cross cultural and linguistic lines with music to promote themes that bring underrepresented voices into the conversation, promote media literacy, and encourage economic development with the arts. Founded by American musicians Kate Bass and Richard Steighner, Global Music Collective is founded on a long history of international arts and collaboration.

NEW SONG RELEASE from Uganda 🇺🇬 ! “The Leopard” is a collaborative song written across cultures and languages, featuring over 30 artists from Uganda, the USA, and Australia. Led, recorded, mixed and produced by Richard "Robot" Steighner as a part of the YES Uganda program.

The song will be released on all platforms in the coming weeks, and is available NOW on bandcamp! All proceeds from bandcamp will go towards funding a future project in Uganda.

Ntambula is the word in Luganda (one of the 50+ languages spoken in Uganda) for “walk.”
