NEW SONG RELEASE from Uganda 🇺🇬 ! “The Leopard” is a collaborative song written across cultures and languages, featuring over 30 artists from Uganda, the USA, and Australia. Led, recorded, mixed and produced by Richard "Robot" Steighner as a part of the YES Uganda program.

The song will be released on all platforms in the coming weeks, and is available NOW on bandcamp! All proceeds from bandcamp will go towards funding a future project in Uganda.

Today is Giving Tuesday ♥️
Nonprofit arts organizations around the US were hit hard this year by federal arts funding cuts, and the programs we run on truly depend on community support.

But we didn’t stop. Our artists didn’t stop. Our workshops didn’t stop. Our global collaborators didn’t stop.

We’ve continued building musical bridges across numerous countries and continents, releasing new collaborative work and holding space for cross-cultural connection when it’s needed most. We’ve released albums that already have thousands of listeners around the globe, with more to come in the coming weeks.

We’re especially grateful this year for partners and individual donors who have stepped up to keep this work going; including a generous matching gift from , which helped us sustain key programs through a challenging time for organizations like ours.

We are deeply grateful for the support, grateful for the community, and grateful for the collaborators.

The work continues! The work is the reward!

Global Music Collective was hit hard this year by broad funding cuts affecting arts nonprofits across the country. We lost support for programs that were already making a real impact in communities across India, Turkmenistan, and the U.S.

But the work hasn’t stopped, because the need hasn’t stopped. We are meeting next week to begin plans for our 2026 season, and we can't do it without your help.

GMC has always believed in the power of music to bridge cultures, connect artists across boundaries, and create opportunities where none existed.
