A resounding story to celebrate in an impactful way

A few years ago, the dream to the Team Leader of Cheerful Alms Foundation was simple: study biomedical laboratory technology and contribute to improving health in our communities.

That journey reached an important milestone on 25th March 2026, with my graduation from Makerere University with a Bachelor of Biomedical Laboratory Technology.
Special about this is, be the to the to this . So it is an achievement and a celebration beyond an individual. I have broken a chain of generational record and set a new pace mark for a girl child in this community.

But beyond the degree, the question that mattered most was:
How can this achievement create impact beyond myself? How does it add value to me, my community and nation?

Through Cheerful Alms Foundation (CAF), we decided that the best way to celebrate this milestone is by serving the community, giving back to this community under the theme ,
The Science of Service sets in. We shall be celebrating a Milestone, while securing futures through Sowing a Healthy Tomorrow

So on 24th March 2026, CAF has organized an Integrated Community Health Testing and Education Engagement in Namutumba District.

This initiative is built around a simple belief:
*Healthy learners build stronger futures.* and is targeting 500 adolescents and community members.
It shall be officiated by the District Health Officer

Services will be
•Free community health screening and testing
• Preventive health education and counseling
• Mental health awareness and psychosocial support
• Sensitization on adolescent protection and early pregnancy prevention
• Community dialogue on education and wellbeing

We are grateful for the technical collaboration with MoH Uganda- Department of National Health Laboratory and Diagnostic Services(NHLDS) and the support of the , Clinic , Centre , of and Management Sciences plus all other partners.

This initiative reflects what I believe strongly as the Team Leaderof CAF:
Education should not only change individual lives — it should strengthen communities.

We welcome collaboration from all health professionals, community leaders, volunteers and development partners who share the vision of improving health and education outcomes for vulnerable children.

UPDATE ON PLE 2025 RESULTS – CHEERFUL ALMS FOUNDATION (CAF)
“Support One Child Sit PLE 2025” Initiative

In 2025, by God’s grace, we successfully supported 724 learners to sit their Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) with dignity and confidence under the Support One Child Sit PLE 2025 Initiative. This surpassed our initial target of 500 learners.

Following the official release of results by the Ministry of Education, we are pleased to share a summary of performance

Out of the 724 learners supported:
📌📌86 learners attained First Grade (11.9%).
🥰😊🌹💃 Notably, 3 of these learners achieved an outstanding aggregate of 7

📌📌414 learners attained Second Grade (57.2%)

📌📌219 learners attained Third and Fourth Grades (30.2%)

📌📌05 learners (0.7%) missed the examinations

Of the 05 who missed:

📍📍03 learners were affected by severe household and socio-economic disruptions during the examination period, which hindered their ability to sit all papers despite prior preparation.

📍📍02 girls are suspected to have been married off, a matter serious enough that the school involved the police in follow-up.

💪🌹These results are a strong indication that when timely support, close follow-up, and collective commitment come together, learners can excel regardless of their background.

✍️ Achieving such outcomes, even with a short-term intervention, demonstrates the power of targeted support at critical moments.
✍️ It also highlights the urgent need to extend this support earlier, so that more learners are not only able to sit exams but also improve their chances of attaining higher grades.

🔮 Looking Ahead to 2026
💪 Building on the experience from 2025, we are confident that 2026 will deliver even greater impact.

📌 Support an even larger number of learners
📌 Engage schools earlier in the academic year
📌 Provide scholastic materials in advance
📌 Strengthen learner follow-up and safeguarding mechanisms

Agnes, one of the beneficiaries of the recent concluded support one child sit PLE 2025 initiative , narrates her ordeal of how she missed out on the PLE 2024

She got astonished, and overwhelmed with joy on seeing us fulfilling the promise we made to her months back - getting her the tools she needs to sit this exam.
Then She fainted due to happiness, got rushed to a nearby health facility for faster restoration of her health

Luckily enough she gained consciousness and requested to meet us. She found us in the middle of a mentorship talk with her peers. In this video she seen to have been supported by a friend as she gets into the classroom.
She narrates the circumstances under which she missed the PLE exam of 2024, in this same video

Agnes is not alone in this bracket, she is a representative of several others

We want to thank all the individual kind people who sacrificed for the success of this kind act

We also want to thank the community of Omega Healing Centre Church Zzana led by Bishop Michael David Kyazze for giving us the opportunity to introduce this initiative to the church members who in return contributed greatly. We thank the and Winnie foundation led by Dr Gabriel Tumwine, a Lecturer at Makerere University for their immense support, we thank the HumanKind Africa led by Mr Olara Emmanuel for supporting us greatly.
We thank Dr Susan Nabadda, the Commissioner Laboratory Services, for being a kind mother, supporting us immensely on this initiative. Your support brought a high acceleration to the success of this initiative. We felt highly blessed when you chose to come on board.

Join hands with us to empower 500 disadvantaged children with essential school tools that will enable them sit their PLE exams this year with confidence and dignity for the 2 critical exam days without any avoidable hindrance to them.

On an ongoing survey, it was dscovered that some of these children faced a number of "simple" challenges that failed them to sit their final exams last year. However they remained determined to success and gave it a trial this year with hope that maybe they will navigate through.
Their resilience and determination inspired us hence , we couldn't just
watch them miss this year too

So we request you Support our initiative to help them achieve their dreams.
