Akili Foundation (AKF) is a research organization established in 2009. We are fully registered to operate in Uganda and the great lakes region. We were known as WAF Communications until 2014 when we rebranded to position ourselves to the changing development agenda. Coined out of a Swahili saying, “Akili ni mali” (knowledge is wealth), we fully understand the linkage between development priorities

and interventions based on up to date evidence. We build on our experience in providing consultancy services to promote informed decision making to drive policy formulation, improvement, practice and dissemination geared towards providing quality research services to our clients and partners across the globe.
