. # # **Breaking Barriers: Assessing Stigma and Service Access in Uganda**

At the Boutras Youth Foundation, our mission is rooted in "Equality for Humanity." We recently hosted a vital community discussion and cross-sectional survey to analyze the current state of stigma and discrimination in Uganda. Our analysis highlights how the magnitude of these drivers—intensified by the Anti-Homosexuality Act (AHA) 2023—has created a "permissive environment" for abuse and systemic exclusion.

The survey findings show a drastic decline in the ability of q***r individuals to access essential services. Many are facing forced evictions, loss of employment, and a growing fear of seeking healthcare due to the threat of being reported or targeted. This isn't just a social issue; it is a human rights and public health crisis that demands immediate, community-driven solutions.

Despite these challenges, our commitment to strengthening sustainable support systems remains unshaken. We are focusing on leadership training, employability skills, and safe advocacy to ensure that no one is left behind. True progress begins when we move from silence to solidarity. We invite you to join us in our mission to build a more inclusive and just society for every Ugandan.
