Earlier this year, we hosted the stakeholder dialogue to discuss Uganda's scores towards the ESA-Commitments especially towards Adolescent Reproductive Health. We were priviledged to have kyateka mondo , Rev. Nathan Mugalu Balirwana and Hon. Odoi Benard on our panel alongside our Team Leader Benson Onyango.

In 2013, Uganda, alongside 20 other countries, endorsed the Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) Commitment on Comprehensive Sexuality Education and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for adolescents and young people. This bold initiative sought to scale up youth-friendly SRHR services, reduce early and unintended pregnancies, and promote CSE (Comprehensive Sexuality Education), among other goals. More than a decade later, the time is ripe for a clear and honest reflection on how far Uganda has come in delivering on these promises.

Tomorrow, we are going back to these promises, reviewing how far we have come.
