At the beginning of the month, we welcomed Cohort II of 2026 to our Training Centre. 💛

We can’t wait to see what God does in their lives—the skills they will gain, the transformation they will experience, the confidence they will build, and everything in between. 🙏🏽✨

It has already been such an amazing journey watching these young mothers begin to thrive. Over the past few weeks, they have gone through psychological assessments and counselling, creating a foundation for healing, growth, and a fresh start.

And now, they are busy learning vocational skills—equipping themselves with practical skills that can open doors to greater independence and a brighter future. 🧵🍰

We are excited for all that lies ahead. This is only the beginning. 🌱

Six Years of Impact. Hundreds of Lives Changed. One Mission. ❤️

Since 2020, Safe Haven Africa has walked alongside vulnerable teenage mothers in Uganda, helping them rebuild their lives, discover their potential, and create brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Today, we celebrate:
✨ 235 young mothers reached, trained and graduated
✨ 68% reporting positive life outcomes
✨ Young mothers returning to school
✨ Children supported alongside their mothers

But behind every number is a story of courage, resilience and hope.

We are deeply grateful to every donor, partner, mentor, volunteer and supporter who has believed in this mission and helped make this impact possible.

Behind every young mother is a story—and at Safe Haven Africa, we believe that becoming a mother at a young age should not mean the end of her dreams.

We are a Christian nonprofit organization in Uganda committed to empowering vulnerable teenage mothers through holistic support, practical skills, education, and opportunities for economic empowerment.

Our work goes beyond skills training. We create spaces where young mothers can heal, rebuild their confidence, discover their potential, and begin creating brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Through our programs, we walk alongside these young women as they move from vulnerability to resilience, from dependence to empowerment, and from uncertainty to hope.
The journey is not always easy—but with the right support and opportunities, transformation is possible.

I HAD NOWHERE TO GO

Gloria's life changed forever when she became pregnant while still in school. The father of her baby disappeared, and although her mother cared for her and the child for a year, she was eventually told she had to provide for her baby on her own.
With nowhere to turn and no means of earning a living, Gloria felt hopeless.
Then she found Safe Haven Africa.

Through counseling, life-skills training, vocational education, and a supportive community, Gloria began rebuilding her life and creating a better future for herself and her child.
This is her story of resilience, restoration, and hope.
